Fluid storage device
A fluid storage device includes a container and a torsion sensor. The container stores a fluid to be agitated. The torsion sensor has a substrate and detects torsion of the substrate. The substrate has a first end inserted in the container and a second end fixed to the container or a housing.
Chemical Mixer Tool for Use in a Storage Drum
A chemical mixer tool for use in a storage drum is described. The chemical mixer tool typically comprises a mixer housing assembly in which one end of a mixer shaft is secured, the distal end of the mixer shaft having at least one collapsible impeller assembly removably attached thereon. The chemical mixer tool is configured to be removably secured to the top portion of the storage drum, with the distal end of the mixing shaft extending into the interior of the storage drum.
Storage Drum Assembly
A storage drum assembly is described. The storage drum assembly is typically cylindrical, and comprises an outer wall portion, a top portion having a port or ports thereon, and a base having a generally conical sump portion with a frustum base. The storage drum assembly can also include an extended upper chime with a support lip, which enables attachments secured within the port or ports of the storage drum assembly to remain in place and protected from damage when multiple storage drums are stacked when not in use.
Disposable bioreactor
A disposable material processing apparatus, useable as a bioreactor or fermenter, includes a hollow tank (101) and a mixing paddle (110) disposed within the interior of the tank and adapted to mix contents therein. The paddle may be isolated within a flexible sleeve (140). Various functional elements, such as a sparger, sensor, material extraction conduit, material addition conduit, and/or heat exchange element may be provided, and optionally arranged to travel with the paddle within the tank interior. Baffles may protrude into a mixing tank to enhance mixing. A tank and/or sleeve may comprise polymeric film materials.
Stirrer of a machine for making and dispensing ice cream products
Described is a stirrer of a machine for making and dispensing ice cream products, the stirrer rotating about an axis inside a mixing and cooling cylinder and comprising: a body defining a plurality of helical scraping blades extending around the axis and acting on an inside wall of the mixing and cooling cylinder to be scraped; a shaft for rotating the stirrer about the axis of rotation; a plurality of scraping members, each designed to be coupled to a blade and equipped with elastic coupling means for the blade adapted to be elastically deformed in order to allow it to be coupled to the blade.
Mixer tool
An apparatus is disclosed for mixing substances, such as paint. The apparatus includes an elongate member with a plurality of openings formed within it. A filament is threaded through the openings creating bights between openings. The bights and ends of the filament sweep through the substance when the elongate member is rotated, which works to mix the substance.
Method and Device for Producing Vasculature through Extrusion-based 3D Printing
A method and device for fabricating vascular networks in for tissue engineering. The vascular network is embedded in a porous scaffold and is created from a sacrificial wax template, according to one embodiment. A extrusion-based three dimensional printer is used to create the template, wherein the printer utilizes an extruder incorporating a mixer to maintain the consistency of the extrudate.
Mechanised bone cement delivery system with a valve that closes to stop the flow of pressurized cement
A bone cement delivery system including a mixer, a reservoir for holding bone cement, a cannula that is connected to the reservoir and through which the bone cement is delivered into living tissue. A plunger that is advanced by a drive assembly, pushes the bone cement out of the delivery tube into the cannula for discharge from the cannula. A valve is located upstream of the cannula. A control unit regulates both drive assembly and the setting of the valve. The control unit is configured to, when deactivating the valve so as to stop the advancement of the plunger, close the valve. The closing of the valve reduces the extent to which the bone cement, which is under pressure continues to flow into and be discharged out of the cannula.
Structure of dough preparation machine
A dough preparation machine includes a power unit, which drives, through rotational speed mechanism, a helical screw shaft that extends into a dough chamber so that the dough is compressed and pushed through rotation of the helical screw shaft to be discharged out of a jet nozzle mounted to the dough chamber. The dough chamber is provided, at a location above the helical screw shaft, with an auxiliary dough driver, which includes two movable blades that are opposite to each other and are selectively extendable outward and retractable inward. When one of the movable blades passes through a circular sidewall of dough chamber, it is pressed by the sidewall to get retracted inwardly and at the same time causing another one of the movable blades to extend outward to knead and poke dough. This process is cyclically repeated to efficiently knead the dough and prevent attachment of the dough.
FLUID MIXING SYSTEMS INCLUDING HELICAL MIXING ASSEMBLY WITH IMPELLER ATTACHMENT AND METHODS OF USE
The present set of embodiments relate to a bioproduction system, method, and apparatus for mixing a fluid. The bioproduction mixing system includes an offset helical assembly having a stabilizer and impeller for mixing a fluid within a flexible compartment The bioproduction mixing system is designed for efficient mixing of the fluid and for use with a variety of different impellers that can be located at different locations according to the volume and shape characteristics of the flexible compartment. The bioproduction mixing system is optimized to eliminate stagnation zones while maximizing bulk fluid flow.
