Rapidly cooling food and drinks

Systems and methods have demonstrated the capability of rapidly cooling the contents of pods containing the ingredients for food and drinks.

FOOD WASTE RECYCLING APPLIANCE

A food recycler can include a mixing bin defining a mixing chamber having a first inlet and a first outlet. A stirrer has a stirrer drive shaft and at least one blade coupled to the stirrer drive shaft and located within the mixing chamber. An output bin defines an output chamber having a second inlet operably coupled to the first outlet and a second outlet.

The removal aid serves for removal of liquid and solid mix from a stirring bowl, the removal aid having a handle and a work element and is intended for a rotation. The working element has a centering aid which is designed to cooperate with a stirring unit's end of the stirring unit, the end pointing towards the opening, and a convex reception region with a spatula-like working edge that points towards the working direction, so that the removal aid can be centred onto said stirring unit's end and can be rotated in the working direction inside the stirring bowl.

Systems, Methods, and Apparatus for Utilizing a Resuspension Tank

Systems, methods and apparatus for Shear TUrbulence Resuspension Mesocosm (STURM) tanks, with high instantaneous bottom shear stress and realistic water column mixing. The tanks can be programmed to produce tidal or episodic sediment resuspension for extended time periods, over muddy sediments with a variety of infaunal benthic organisms. A resuspension paddle produces substantially uniform bottom shear stress across the sediment surface while gently mixing a 1 m deep overlying water column. The STURM tanks can be programmed to different magnitudes, frequencies, and durations of bottom shear stress and thus resuspension with proportional water column turbulence levels over a wide range of mixing settings for benthic-pelagic coupling experiments.

Mixing machine

A mixing machine includes a mixing head and at least one connection means for connecting a mixing container to the mixing head for forming a closed mixing container. The mixing head is pivotably mounted with respect to a frame such that the closed mixing container formed from the mixing head and container can be pivoted relative to the frame for performing the mixing process. The mixing head carries at least one rotationally-driven mixing tool. The mixing head comprises a head plate having a connecting flange molded thereon which is configured as an annular disc and comprises a planar contact surface. This contact surface has a radial extension such that mixing containers with different connection diameters on their mixing head connection side can be connected to the mixing head. The at least one connection means is configured for gripping mixing containers which differ in the diameter of their connection sides.

Methods and apparatus for processing fluids

A method for processing a fluid includes removably securing a retention member to a vessel that bounds a chamber; inserting a collapsible bag within the chamber of the vessel; securing the bag to the retention member so that the bag is supported within the chamber of the vessel; and dispensing a fluid into a compartment of the collapsible bag supported within the chamber of the vessel. The fluid can be mixed within bag while the bag is disposed within the vessel.

Brewing and cooling a beverage

A machine for brewing and cooling a beverage includes a housing, a refrigeration system, a first nest, a second nest, a fluid system, and a dispensing port. The first and second nests are arranged in the housing and include first and second recesses, respectively. The second nest has walls defining the second recess. The refrigeration system is located within the machine and is confirmed to cool the walls of the second nest. The fluid system is configured to transfer water to the first recess of the first nest. The dispensing port is fluidly connected with the recess of the first nest.

COMBINED CLEANING AND STIRRING DEVICE FOR DISTILLATION STILL

A combined cleaning and stirring device for a distillation still comprises at least one hollow tube provided with at least one nozzle. The tube is adapted to place the at least one nozzle in fluid communication with a source of cleaning fluid, at least one stirring blade being fixed on said tube.
