Dispenser
20180132672 · 2018-05-17 ·

A dispenser includes a body defining an internal volume and an opening that provides a path of fluid communication between the internal volume and an exterior of the body. A first tubular member extends through the opening. A length of the first tubular member is greater than or equal to about 150% of a height of the body. In response to squeezing the body, a composition in the internal volume flows out of the body through the opening and into the first tubular member.

Container for accommodating high-viscosity materials

A container for accommodating high-viscosity materials, such as liquid concrete. The container has at least one bearing sleeve, which extends through a wall opening and is fastened in the container wall in a liquid-tight manner. A shaft extends through the bearing sleeve in such a way that an annular gap is left open. A shaft seal, which bridges the annular gap and is made of elastomeric material, is located at the container-interior end of the bearing sleeve. A lubricant is applied to the annular gap from the container exterior. The invention is characterized in that the shaft seal has, on the side thereof radially facing the shaft, a conveying thread that supports the conveying of the lubricant in the direction of the container interior, which conveying thread advantageously communicates with the container interior via a check valve open to the container interior.

APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HEATING FLUIDS

Apparatus, system and method for heating fluid from a plurality of fluid sources. A heating chamber top portion includes a plurality of fluid inlet tubes configured to pass fluid from the plurality of fluid sources. A heating chamber may be coupled to the heating chamber top portion, the heating chamber collectively receives at least some of the fluid from the plurality of fluid sources. At least one heating element configured within the heating chamber heats the received fluid from the plurality of fluid sources. An agitator mixes the received fluid from the plurality of fluid sources in the heating chamber, wherein the agitator is configured to mix the received fluid from the plurality of fluid sources by rotationally turning within the heating chamber.

Systems for cell culture scaling

The present set of embodiments relate to a bioproduction system, method, and apparatus for creating a scalable bioreactor system. Specifically, the present set of embodiments enable the determination of bioreaction performance characteristics of a commercial scale by matching operational parameters between a small test scale bioreaction to that of a commercial scale bioreaction. The system and methods do not rely on simply making bioreactor apparatuses across scales the same dimensionally which would not account for differences in fluid dynamic properties between very small to very large volumes, but requires tuning of a variety of systems (mixing assembly, sparger system, and headspace airflow system) in conjunction with one another to achieve predictive outcomes.

LOW DENSITY CORING MATERIAL

A low density coring material is described. In one embodiment, the low density coring material consists essentially of: about 40 to about 80 wt % resin; 0 to about 50 wt % monomer; 0 to about 5 wt % dispersion aid; 0 to about 5 wt % accelerator; about 3 to about 7 wt % microspheres; and about 1 to about 5 wt % catalyst; wherein a density of the cured coring material is less than about 5.0 lbs/gal. Composites made using the low density coring material and methods of making composites are also described.
