METHOD FOR OPERATING A MIXING APPARATUS OF A MANUFACTURING PLANT
A method for operating a mixing apparatus of a manufacturing plant comprises supplying multiple powdered products to the mixing apparatus. An inlet mass flow rate of the multiple powdered products into the mixing apparatus and a weight of the multiple powdered products in the mixing apparatus are measured. The multiple powdered products in the mixing apparatus are mixed to form a mixed product. The weight of the multiple powdered products in the mixing apparatus and an outlet mass flow rate of the mixed product from the mixing apparatus are predicted based on the measured inlet mass flow of the multiple powdered products. The predicted outlet mass flow rate of the mixed product from the mixing apparatus is corrected based on the measured weight of the multiple powdered products in the mixing apparatus. The mixed product is processed into final products

Device and procedure for processing a foodstuff material
An apparatus for processing a foodstuff material is provided, specifically for producing sausage products from sausage meat. The apparatus includes a stationary housing which has a wall and which can be connected in fluid-conducting relationship to a conveyor pump, and has a discharge opening for delivery of the foodstuff material. Arranged within the housing is an element for partially swirling the foodstuff material within the housing, which is rotatable relative to the wall and along which in operation at least a partial amount of the foodstuff material to be conveyed flows. The rotatable element ends within the housing before the discharge opening for delivery of the foodstuff material. The apparatus can produce a string with a substantially cylindrical outer contour from a foodstuff material like sausage meat.
POWDER SUPPLY METHOD AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION
A powder supply method for causing a powder supplied from a top end 70t of a tube 70 to flow down within the tube 70 and be discharged from a bottom end 70b of the tube, in which if M [kg/s] is a supply flow rate of the powder and A.sub.S [m.sup.2] is a cross-sectional area of the bottom end 70b of the tube 70, the following expression is satisfied.
1.5≤(M/A.sub.S)≤135
Mixing and kneading machine with receiving areas for kneading elements, said receiving areas being distributed over the inner circumferential surface of the housing in a non-uniform manner
With a mixing and kneading machine (100), wherein a worm shaft (12) moves in a housing (10) in a rotating manner and moves back and forth in a translatory movement, receptacles for kneading elements (12) are distributed non-uniformly. It is thereby possible to equip the receptacles with varying numbers of kneading elements. Quick adaptation is also thereby possible. In one embodiment, the number of kneading elements even varies over the extension direction of the mixing and kneading machine (100).

PRESHEARING METHOD FOR THE CONTROL OF THE RHEOLOGY AND THE INJECTABILITY OF AQUEOUS INORGANIC CEMENTS
The invention provides a system for the preshearing based control of the flow and deformation behavior, i.e., the setting kinetics, and the time dependent shear viscosity, elasticity of aqueous cementitious suspensions that can be used for bone repair and regeneration. The dynamic cement microstructure is tailored to the demands of the surgical tasks (faster/slower setting) or additive manufacturing tasks (lower/higher viscosity) by application of various preshearing conditions. Since the relationships between the preshearing and pressurization conditions and the setting kinetics and the time dependent changes in elasticity and viscosity are complex, a priori characterization of viscoelastic properties using the advanced rheological characterization technique of small-amplitude oscillatory rheometry is needed to enable such tailoring. The preshearing system is intended to give control on the injectability and setting time of any calcium phosphate cement formulation to the surgeon during an orthopedic surgery where a batch of bone cement is processed. Other possible utilizations of the system include controlling the setting kinetics, shear viscosity and facilitating the resultant flow stability of cementitious ceramic suspensions processed in direct ink writing assemblies for additive manufacturing of cement constructs, in injection systems for oil wells, restoration and fracking.
