Bone cement applicator with three-way valve for pressure relief
Bone cement applicators and methods for application of a bone cement dough, the applicators and methods comprise a tubular cartridge with an internal space, a dispensing plunger for expelling the starting components through an opening of the cartridge opposite from the dispensing plunger, wherein the dispensing plunger is mobile in longitudinal direction in the internal space of the cartridge. The applicators and methods further comprise a hose, an application opening, a three-way valve operable from outside and arranged or arrangeable in the hose or on a side of the hose facing the cartridge, and a collecting container arranged on the three-way valve. The three-way valve is designed and arranged or arrangeable in the applicator such that it, being in a first position, provides a fluid connection between the application opening and the opening of the cartridge and closes a feed-through to the collecting container and, being in a second position, provides a fluid connection between the application opening and the collecting container and closes a passage to the opening of the cartridge.
Autosampler with sample agitation system
A sample agitation system for an automated sampling device is described. In an example implementation, the sample agitation system includes a sample probe configured to contact a sample positioned within a sample vessel. Further, the sample agitation system includes an actuator coupled to the sample probe that is configured to stir the sample positioned within the sample vessel in one or more rotational directions. The directions may include, but are not limited to, clockwise motion, anti-clockwise motion, or the like. In some implementations, a sample probe support arm can be coupled to the sample probe and/or the actuator. The actuator can move the sample probe support arm in a translational, a rotational, and/or a vertical direction to rotate the sample probe and stir the sample.
Methods and system for mixing and dispensing viscous materials for the creation of additive structures
Various methods and systems are provided for mixing and dispensing viscous materials for the creation of additive structures. As one example, during a mixing and dispensing operation with a mixing and dispensing head of a multi-dimensional printing apparatus, linear movement of a mixing rod positioned within a mixing chamber of the mixing and dispensing head, at least along a central axis of the mixing chamber, is adjusted based on an operating condition of the printing apparatus and dispensing of mixed liquids from the mixing and dispensing head is stopped by stopping one or more pumps fluidly coupled to the mixing chamber and linearly moving the mixing rod upward and away from a dispensing nozzle of the mixing and dispensing head.

SYSTEM FOR MIXING BEVERAGES AND METHOD OF DOING THE SAME
A module includes a housing and an agitator. The housing defines a cavity and includes a boss that extends from a first end of the housing into the interior cavity towards a second opposing end of the housing. The boss has an exterior surface and defines an inner bore. The boss includes a flange extending outwardly from the exterior surface. The agitator includes a base, a shaft, and a mixing element. The shaft of the agitator extends from the base and is slidable relative to the inner bore of the boss such that the agitator is movable between a fully retracted position, a partially extended position, and a fully extended position. The mixing element of the agitator extends from the base and includes a portion that is configured to engage the flange of the boss in a non-rotational fashion in response to the agitator being in the partially extended position.
SYSTEM AND DEVICE FOR CUSTOMIZATION OF COSMETICS
The presently disclosed subject matter relates to a system for customizing a cosmetic product. The system includes: an interface device, in electronic communication with a single batch formulation device. The single batch formulation device is configured to formulate a customized cosmetic product, and a threaded container configured to be imported into the single batch formulation device containing a base and exported from the single batch formulation device containing the customized cosmetic.
Stirring tool and stirrer comprising a tool of said type
A stirring tool for a stirrer for stirring a mixture comprises a connecting element for connecting the stirring tool to a stirring drive, drivable about a rotational axis, of the stirrer, a carrier ring, a plurality of stirring spokes disposed between the connecting element and the carrier ring, and at least one stirring boss, which projects radially on the carrier ring, wherein two adjacent stirring spokes are arranged mutually offset in the direction of the rotational axis.
Biological material extraction apparatus
The present invention relates to a biological material extraction apparatus. According to the present invention, a tube in which a solution for use in extracting a biological material is contained is rotated to directly mix the solution, and cells where stirring is being conducted in each step are sealed to fundamentally block stirring-induced pollution between cells, thereby improving an extraction efficiency.

Single use slurrying and chromatography systems
Methods and systems for chromatography are disclosed that employ a flexible container configured to fit within a support structure and adapted to receive a filtration or absorptive medium, such as a chromatography resin. The flexible container can include at least one inlet, at least one outlet, and a separation barrier peripherally sealed within the container to separate the container into a resin containing portion and a drainage portion. The barrier can be configured to exclude the resin material from the drainage portion during use while allowing fluids to pass therethrough. The disposable chromatography system can further include one or more agitators disposed within the flexible container and adjustably configured to be raised or lowered in the flexible container. When the agitator is in the raised position, the resin packing material can operate in a settled, packed-bed configuration. Alternatively, the agitator in the lowered position permits the chromatography resin packing material to operate in a mixed, slurry configuration.
