Modular blender with improved water heating and light beam detection
An easily assembled blender with an internal frame holding a cupholder elevator assembly, a mix motor assembly, a food preparation chamber, a water heater assembly and a steamer assembly. The water heater and steamer assemblies are preferably on modular trays that slide into the internal frame. The water heater preferably also serves as a hot water reservoir and, to avoid overheating, has its heating coil located near its bottom. To resist scale deposits, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) tubing is preferably used to transport steam from the steamer to the food preparation chamber. To expedite manufacture, a spring-biased idler assembly with a drive belt for the cupholder elevator assembly preferably snaps into a lower receiving port on the internal frame. Crisscrossing infrared light beams are preferably placed at the entrance of the food preparation chamber to detect whether the cup entering the chamber is the correct size and detect whether any foreign object is below the food preparation chamber.
METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR MIXING AND DISPENSING VISCOUS MATERIALS FOR THE CREATION OF ADDITIVE STRUCTURES
Various methods and systems are provided for mixing and dispensing viscous materials for the creation of additive structures. As one example, during a mixing and dispensing operation with a mixing and dispensing head of a multi-dimensional printing apparatus, linear movement of a mixing rod positioned within a mixing chamber of the mixing and dispensing head, at least along a central axis of the mixing chamber, is adjusted based on an operating condition of the printing apparatus and dispensing of mixed liquids from the mixing and dispensing head is stopped by stopping one or more pumps fluidly coupled to the mixing chamber and linearly moving the mixing rod upward and away from a dispensing nozzle of the mixing and dispensing head.
As one example, in a multi-dimensional printing apparatus, one or more materials flow into a mixing chamber via one or more corresponding inlet channels, a rotational speed of a mixing rod positioned within a mixing chamber is adjusted based on a volume of the mixing chamber and a flow rate of the one or more materials into the mixing chamber, the mixing rod including a set of straight cutaways extending along a length of a bottom portion of the mixing rod and forming flat side surfaces of the mixing rod; and a mixture of the one or more materials is dispensed from the mixing chamber via a dispensing nozzle of a mixing and dispensing head.
STIRRER BLADE AND MECHANISM FOR AUTOMATED FOOD PROCESSING SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a stirrer blade 100 for an automated food processing machine. The stirrer blade 100 is movably configured with said automated food processing machine. The stirrer blade 100 includes a member 101, a first arm 102 connected to a first end of said member 101 and extends in a first direction. The first arm 102 has a curved distal end 102a. A second arm 103 connected to a second end of said member 101 and extends in a second direction. The second arm 103 comprises plurality of spikes (103a, 103b).
Adhesive and sealant mixers with automatic stroke length adjustment
Mixers for adhesives and sealants that include automatic stroke length adjustment for different sizes and configurations of adhesive and sealant cartridges are disclosed. The mixers include a sensor for detecting when a mixing impeller reaches the top of a cartridge and the bottom of a cartridge, which sends a signal to a main pressure cylinder to reverse direction. The stroke length of the mixer is automatically adjusted without the necessity of manual selection based upon a particular cartridge size.
COLD WATER COLLECTOR SAPONIFICATION METHOD
A cold water saponification method is disclosed. The method is for preferred use in industrial applications such as mining operations wherein saponification of fatty acids is required. Broadly, the method comprises the steps of filling a tank with a solution comprising water, a base and fatty acids, installing a mixer capable of creating a vortex in order to effectively saponify fatty acid particles. The use of a high-shear mixer installed vertically has been proven successful in saponifying fatty acids in cold water.
Stand Mixer With Bowl Lift
A stand mixer includes: a base, the base including a bowl lift framework having first lift features; a support arm attached to the base and extending upwardly therefrom; a head attached to an upper end of the support arm and extending generally horizontally therefrom above the base; and a bowl assembly comprising a bowl and a skirt mounted to the bowl, the skirt including second lift features. The first lift features interact with the second lift features such that, when the bowl assembly is rotated relative to the bowl lift framework, the bowl assembly changes elevation relative to the base between raised and lowered positions.
Storage and mixing device for producing a bone cement
A storage and mixing device for PMMA bone cements having a cylindrical interior of the cartridge that is delimited on a front side by a cartridge head with a closed delivery opening, a plunger which is arranged to be axially movable in the cylindrical interior of the cartridge and which is spaced from the cartridge head. The plunger circumferentially rests against the inner wall of the interior, so that the plunger divides the interior of the cartridge into two sections in a gas-tight manner, a powdery first parent component of the bone cement, which is contained in the interior between the plunger and the cartridge head, a feed-through which is arranged in the cartridge head or in the cylinder barrel of the cartridge between the plunger and the cartridge head, wherein the feed-through is connected to a fluid line in which a monomer liquid as a second parent component of the bone cement is contained or into which a monomer liquid is fillable or introducible. A filter is arrangeable in the cartridge head, in the feed-through and/or in the fluid line, wherein the filter is permeable to the monomer liquid and impermeable to the first parent component, wherein the plunger is spaced from a back side of the cylindrical interior, located opposite the front side, to an extent that, by moving the plunger in the direction of the back side, a reduced pressure is producible in the interior of the cartridge between the plunger and the cartridge head, wherein the reduced pressure is able to suck the monomer liquid out of the fluid line into the interior of the cartridge.
