BIOREACTOR SYSTEM
According to various implementations, the bioreactor system includes a bioreactor vessel, an impeller for stirring contents within the vessel, a temperature control source for controlling the temperature of the contents of the vessel, an aeration system for supplying air to the vessel, and one or more data loggers. According to certain implementations, the impeller is a novel impeller design that spins more smoothly and rapidly than known impellers. In addition, the bioreactor system is modular, durable, and relatively inexpensive compared to existing bioreactor systems, which allows for bench-scale implementation, use with differently sized bioreactor vessels, and accessibility to more educational programs, according to some implementations.
Devices and methods for measuring analyte concentration
Disclosed herein are devices and methods for the detection, quantification and/or monitoring of analytes. The systems and methods can be used, for example, to rapidly monitor gases downhole in a well.
Single-Serving Beverage Machine with High-Capacity and Compact Cooling-Carbonation System
A beverage machine system that includes: an insulated potable liquid storage tank having an interior volume; a liquid carbonator spaced within the interior volume of the insulated potable liquid storage tank and submerged therein; a high pressure potable liquid pump configured to pump potable liquid from the interior volume of the insulated potable liquid storage tank through a potable liquid conduit to a spray nozzle within an interior volume of the liquid carbonator; and a cooling coil positioned in a spaced apart relationship but wound around the carbonator such that the cooling coil does not physically touch an exterior surface of the carbonator submersed within the chilled potable liquid and the space between the cooling coil and the carbonator is at least substantially free of any other structure other than periodic frozen potable liquid adjacent the cooling coil.
MACRO-SPARGER FOR BENCHTOP BIOREACTORS
A macrosparger (300) for a benchtop bioreactor (370) comprises a tubing (310) and a base (330). The base comprises a plurality of sparging elements (320) in gaseous communication with the tubing and an interior of a benchtop bioreactor. Each sparging element comprises a cylindrical body having an internal compartment formed by a top surface and a bottom surface, the top surface and bottom surface connected by a sidewall, wherein the top surface and bottom surface are substantially oval-shaped. The benchtop bioreactor may be a perfusion bioreactor. A related system comprising the macrosparger and benchtop bioreactor may be used for performing a continuous cell culture.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MIXING LIQUIDS
An apparatus for mixing a liquid comprise a base having an associated head located thereover, an elongate stirring member extending between top and bottom ends along an axis, wherein the top end is magnetically coupled with the head so as to suspend the elongate stirring member therefrom and wherein the bottom end includes at least two arms radially extending therefrom, and a rotary motor located within the base magnetically coupled to the at least two arms so as to cause the elongate stirring member to rotate with the rotary motor. A method for locating the elongate stirring member within the container, placing the container on the base at a mixing location so as to magnetically couple the stirring member with the head; and turning the rotary motor so as to cause the elongate stirring member to rotate with the rotary motor.
STIRRING SYSTEM, STIRRER AND ITS CLAMPING DEVICE
The present disclosure provides a stirring system, a stirrer and its clamping device; the clamping device includes: a support link and a clamping mechanism; the clamping mechanism includes a driving unit, a connection assembly and a clamping plate, the driving unit is fixedly connected with the connection assembly and the clamping plate, the clamping plate is used to clamp the experimental product, wherein the driving unit drives the clamping plate to rotate, and drives the experimental product clamped on the clamping plate to rotate. Compared with the prior art, the stirring system, the stirrer and the clamping device provided by the present disclosure can realize the function of fixing and rotating the experimental product during the stirring process by providing a simple clamping device structure, and the structure is reliable and easy to operate, reducing the experimental process of human consumption.
MIXING DEVICE
Provided is a mixing device that is configured to install therein a multi-well plate including a plurality of wells capable of containing matter to be mixed and includes mixing mechanisms each of which mixes the matter to be mixed with a motor and is provided for each of the wells. The mixing mechanisms each includes a first rotator that is connected to the motor and rotates due to activation of the motor, a mixing rod that mixes the matter to be mixed, a second rotator that supports the mixing rod, a magnetic coupling mechanism that magnetically couples the first rotator to the second rotator, and a seal ring that surrounds an opening of the well and is capable of closing the well together with the second rotator.
Liquid stirring apparatus and method of using to create a froth
Provided is a liquid stirring apparatus of the type using a non-contact drive mechanism (4) where the stirrer is driven through a magnetic drive effect without a mechanical connection member intruding through a wall of a container (2) for receiving a liquid to be stirred. The stirrer is received in use within the container (2). The non-connect driving mechanism (4) is arranged externally of the container (2). A holder is provided for positioning the stirrer within the container (2) where the holder is not integrally formed with the container (2), but is a separate component therefrom. The holder is not affixed to the container (2), but locates within the container (2) such that it positions the stirrer adjacent a wall of the container (2) near to the external location of the non-contact drive mechanism (4). The holder is manually removable from the container (2) and the stirrer is manually removable from the holder for cleaning.
