MICROPARTICLE-CONTAINING LIQUID DISPERSING DEVICE, MICROPARTICLE SEDIMENTATION SUPPRESSION METHOD, MICROPARTICLE SORTING OR MEASURING DEVICE, AND MICROPARTICLE SEDIMENTATION SUPPRESSION VIBRATOR
To provide a microparticle-containing liquid dispersing device capable of dispersing microparticles containing cells, a microparticle sedimentation suppression method, a microparticle sorting or measuring device, and a microparticle sedimentation suppression vibrator. The microparticle-containing liquid dispersing device includes: a microparticle sedimentation suppression vibrator including a fixture configured to connect and hang on a bag containing a microparticle-containing liquid, the microparticle sedimentation suppression vibrator hanging the bag in a vertically downward direction; and a stand that hangs the bag.
Adhesive and sealant mixers with automatic stroke length adjustment
Mixers for adhesives and sealants that include automatic stroke length adjustment for different sizes and configurations of adhesive and sealant cartridges are disclosed. The mixers include a sensor for detecting when a mixing impeller reaches the top of a cartridge and the bottom of a cartridge, which sends a signal to a main pressure cylinder to reverse direction. The stroke length of the mixer is automatically adjusted without the necessity of manual selection based upon a particular cartridge size.
Manual mixer
A manual mixer serves to facilitate mixing and agitating materials for use during surgery. The manual mixer includes a mixing assembly and an actuation assembly for actuating the mixing assembly. The mixing assembly includes at least a paddle portion and a plunger portion. The plunger portion is simultaneously capable of rotational movement with the paddle portion and movement upwardly or downwardly along the paddle portion. Rotation of the paddle portion serves to facilitate mixing and agitating of the materials, and downward movement of the plunger portion serves to facilitate dispensing of the materials from the manual mixer.
Portable container mixing station
A mixing station is provided, comprising: a standard shipping container having a floor, a pair of side walls and at least one door at one end of the container; an end wall positioned adjacent the one end of the container, the end wall including a plurality of couplings; at least one internal wall disposed within the container to define, with the end wall, a room; and mixing components disposed within the room; wherein ingredients external to the container are provided to the mixing components through the plurality of couplings in the end wall and a final mixture of the ingredients is provided from the mixing components to an output container through the plurality of couplings such that the side walls of the container are not structurally compromised.
Device for mixing and storing polymethylmethacrylate bone cement
A device and methods mix polymethylmethacrylate bone cement and/or store the starting components of the bone cement. The device comprising: a cartridge with an internal space for mixing the bone cement that is closed on one side by means of a mobile dispensing plunger; a monomer container for a monomer liquid and/or a connector for attachment of a monomer container for a monomer liquid such that the monomer container can be opened appropriately in the device such that the monomer liquid flows from the monomer container into the device; a connecting conduit through which the monomer liquid can be guided into the internal space of the cartridge. A first hollow cylinder is connected to the connecting conduit and a second hollow cylinder is connected, via a vacuum conduit, to the internal space of the cartridge, whereby a pumping plunger is shiftable axially in the first hollow cylinder and is arranged in the first hollow cylinder and a vacuum plunger that is shiftable axially in the second hollow cylinder is arranged in the second hollow cylinder, whereby the pumping plunger and the vacuum plunger may be moved simultaneously.
Fluid mixing apparatus and methods for mixing and improving homogeneity of fluids
Apparatus that mixes non-homogenous fluid. A threaded shaft within a housing circulates fluid within a container to effect mixing. In one embodiment, when placed in a container of fluid, the housing the fluid is recirculated through opposing ends of the housing. In an embodiment of a related method for mixing, a pump housing containing a screw journaled for rotation receives fluid within a container and conveys the fluid therethrough to circulate a fluid portion in the container along an exterior surface of the housing for mixing with another fluid portion to improve fluid homogeneity. After mixing, the portion of the fluid which first circulates through the housing may recirculate through the housing with said another portion of the fluid. The fluid may be continuously mixed and recirculated through the housing.
Method of using manual mixer
Convertible mixer assembly with a stand
A convertible mixer assembly converts a hand mixer for use as a stand mixer with additional attachments. The assembly includes a motor positioned within a mixer housing. Mixer ports extend into the mixer housing. A handle coupled to the mixer housing allows handheld use. Beater attachments are removably coupable to the mixer housing and rotated by the motor. A connector extends from the mixer housing. A slot extends into an outer surface of a stand. The slot receives the connector such that the stand is configured for holding the mixer housing for use without the mixer housing is handheld.
