Apparatus for Controlling Solids Build Up in a Mixer, Submerged Flight Conveyor, Unloader or Similar Device
The apparatus of the present invention comprises a plurality of flexible impact elements for controlling the buildup of solids in a mixer, submerged flight conveyor, unloader or similar device. The device for use with the impact elements has at least one shaft and a plurality of rotating elements which rotate around a drive sprocket or extend radially from a shaft for moving ash or similar particulate solids. The flexible impact elements communicate with the device so as to limit or control the buildup of solids on the rotating elements, thus enabling a more efficient throughput of materials by the device.
WINE DECANTER, WINE GLASS AND MOVABLE BASE
A wine decanter includes a reservoir that holds wine and a neck with an opening to allow wine to enter and exit the reservoir. The reservoir is generally rectangular with opposing front and rear sides and opposing left and right sides, and a substantially flat bottom. Protrusions are located on the reservoir inner surface at one of the front and rear sides or left and right sides. Each protrusion spans an entire length of one of the sides and protrudes into the reservoir thereby aerating the wine as it passes by the protrusions. All protrusions are located above the flat bottom of the reservoir such that none of the protrusions are located on the flat bottom of the reservoir, thereby allowing the wine to pool on the flat bottom of the reservoir. A base is provided that moves the decanter in a controlled back-and-forth motion to aerate the wine.
Baffled donut apparatus for use in system and method for forming gypsum board
A system and method for introducing a slurry mixture for making gypsum board is disclosed. The system includes, for example, a mixer, a foam injector, and a canister for mixing and moving a slurry mixture of foam and gypsum slurry. Also included in the system is an apparatus having a funnel body constructed and arranged to further mix the slurry mixture. The funnel body includes a number of baffles projecting from its inner wall towards a center and that are spaced around the inner wall. The baffles induce turbulence into the slurry mixture as the slurry mixture moves towards its outlet, thus further mixing the mixture and reducing the flow rate of the slurry mixture before its exits from the outlet for forming the gypsum board.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PREPARING MIXTURES
A device for use as a mixing apparatus comprising a container having a cross-section of at least 5 mm diameter, the cross-section being spanned by a wall having protrusions projecting into the cross-section, the protrusions preferably being distributed over the entire wall, the container being driven to reciprocate along a path curve obtainable by superimposing the movement along at least two axes lying at an angle to each other and preferably in the plane of the cross-section of the container at different frequencies.
Methods for maintaining a metered flow rate of fluid treated seed
A stream of seed may be maintained at a metered flow rate through multiple stages of a treatment process. These multiple stages include dispensing, first application of fluid, second application of fluid, and seed transport. Seed transport may be accomplished through a conveyor configured to maintain the metered flow rate while providing static mixing, drying, and conditioning of the treated seed. The metered stream of seed may be treated within a first treatment applicator where a first wet treatment is applied, transferred through the incline conveyor, and treated again within a second treatment applicator where a second wet treatment is applied. Overtreating in multiple stages may layer consecutive seed treatments around the treated seed. A predetermined amount of seed treatment may be applied to the coated seed based on the metered flow rate established. Maintaining the metered flow rate through multiple stages eliminates the need for multiple metering steps.
Incline belt conveyor with longitudinal belt guards and methods of preventing seed entering between the belt and a curvilinear structure
An agricultural incline conveyor having belt guards extending longitudinally through a curvilinear portion from a tail inlet to a head outlet. The belt guards protect linear edges of a belt within the curvilinear portion during mixing operations. A plurality of mixing baffles positioned within the curvilinear portion induce turbulent backflow of a metered stream of seed being transported through the curvilinear portion. The longitudinal guards prevent the loss of transported seed from entering between the belt and a trough of the curvilinear portion.
WINE GLASS
A wine glass including a bowl, a stem, and a base. The wine glass further includes an agitator integral in the center of the bowl for imparting a swirling motion to the wine poured into the bowl.
CONTAINERS WITH INTERNAL AGITATORS
A container for dissolving powder in liquid for consumption is made from a single piece of coated paper, and has two internal agitators when the paper is folded and glued. Before assembly, the paper is cut in a pattern and laid out with an outer portion and an inner portion defined by a first fold line. The inner portion is folded over and glued to the outer portion, and the outer portion is folded into a rectangular tube. The agitators are formed in the inner portion with creases and cuts so that the agitators unfold into the container when the outer portion is folded. The tube is then sealed at the top and bottom. The agitators have openings so that liquid in the container is mixed when the container is shaken. A removable cap is provided for filling and drinking from the container.
