DEVICE AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF UREA
A production device includes: at least one device for dissolving solid urea in demineralized water, including a tank for receiving the solid urea and the demineralized water and an outlet for recovering the aqueous solution of urea; a solid urea storage station; and a device for transporting the solid urea from the storage station to the dissolving device, the transporting device being arranged in order to pour solid urea into the tank of the dissolving device. The dissolving device includes at least one nozzle for injecting demineralized water into the solid urea, arranged in the vicinity of the bottom of the tank in order to create water turbulence below the surface of the solid urea and to dissolve the solid urea in the demineralized water.
Method and apparatus for cartridge-based carbonation of beverages
Systems, methods and cartridges for carbonating a precursor liquid, such as water, to form a beverage. A carbon dioxide source can be provided in a cartridge which is used to generate carbon dioxide gas that is dissolved into the precursor liquid. A beverage medium, such as a powdered drink mix or liquid syrup, may be provided in the same, or a separate cartridge as the carbon dioxide source and mixed with the precursor liquid to form a beverage. The use of one or more cartridges for the carbon dioxide source and/or beverage medium may make for an easy to use and mess-free system for making carbonated beverages, e.g., in the consumer's home.
BONE CEMENT MIXING DEVICE WITH SPACER IN AN AMPOULE RECEPTACLE
One aspect relates to a device to produce a bone cement paste from a monomer liquid and a cement powder as starting components of the bone cement paste, and to dispense the mixed bone cement paste. The device includes a cartridge with a cylindrical interior, a dispensing plunger movable towards the front of the cartridge; a receptacle extending along a longitudinal direction, a front of the receptacle connected with the rear of the cartridge; a pumping plunger arranged and in the receptacle movable towards the front of the receptacle; a breakable ampoule containing the monomer liquid, the ampoule with ampoule body arranged in the receptacle between the pumping plunger and the dispensing plunger with at least some sections of the ampoule body in contact with the receptacle; and a spacer arranged in the receptacle between the dispensing plunger and the ampoule body, the spacer extending in the longitudinal direction of the receptacle and the spacer being separated from the inner wall of the receptacle by a distance at least as large as the wall thickness of the ampoule body.
SYSTEM FOR MIXING BEVERAGES AND METHOD OF DOING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a system and process for a nutraceutical beverage compounding system and methods for the same. Provided is a customizable supplement beverage system and method for personalizing and operating the same to a particular user and optionally for operative tracking. Proposed additionally is an operative system for receiving and individually identifying a concentrate or supplement combinations, for mixing the same prior to a use, and for dispensing the same for use, and for tracking control factors relating to the same.
Device and method for storing and mixing a bone cement
Devices and methods mix a bone cement and comprise at least one cartridge, wherein the cartridge comprises in its interior a cylindrical mixing chamber, a discharge piston movable in the cylindrical mixing chamber in the longitudinal direction and sealable against the walls of the mixing chamber, a mixing device for thoroughly mixing the content of the mixing chamber, which is arranged in the interior of the mixing chamber. The mixing device is operable externally via a mixing rod and the mixing rod is guided through a passage in the discharge piston such that it can be rotated and displaced in the longitudinal direction by the discharge piston. The cartridge comprises a discharge opening opposite the discharge piston, wherein, in the mixing chamber, a first component is contained between the discharge piston and the discharge opening, wherein a monomer fluid as a second component is introducable through the discharge opening into the mixing chamber. The device further comprises a locking element with which the mixing rod is affixable to the discharge piston such that the discharge piston is movable by means of the mixing rod in the mixing chamber in the longitudinal direction.
System and method for mixing and delivering a solution
The presently disclosed subject matter is directed to a device for dispensing a mixture of a first composition (e.g., an anesthetic) and a second composition (e.g., a diluent buffer, a second drug, or a solution). The device comprises a plunger that slidably engages with the interior of the device barrel at a first end. The second end of the device barrel includes a flexible container configured to house one or more solutions (e.g., sodium carbonate). The flexible container comprises a membrane positioned adjacent to the interior of the barrel. The flexible container can be manipulated by the user, rupturing the membrane. In this way, the first and second solutions are intermixed within the interior of the barrel, and can be administered to a patient.
DEVICE FOR MIXING BONE CEMENT
A device for mixing bone cement comprises a first hollow body which encloses a first cavity for receiving a powder and has a first opening, and a second hollow body which encloses a second cavity for receiving an ampoule and has a second opening. The first hollow body and the second hollow body are connectable to one another in such a way that the first opening and the second opening are fluidically connected to one another. The first hollow body is elastic so that a content of the first hollow body can be mixed from the outside by kneading.
BEVERAGE ADDITIVE CONTAINER AND STIRRING DEVICE
A dispensing container having a tubular form which is configured to hold a flowable substance for dispensing, such as into a beverage. The tubular container is intended for use as a stirring device, such that following dispensing of the flowable substance contained therein, the tubular container can be used to stir the beverage to assist in incorporating, diluting, and/or mixing the flowable substance into the beverage.
Manufacturing apparatus, mixing machine and/or receiving device for the manufacture of a composition from a mixture of formulations
The present invention relates to a mixing machine configured to receive a receiving device in order to form a manufacturing apparatus, the mixing machine comprising: a support defining a receiving housing, able to receive a receiving device, the receiving device being configured to receive first and second capsules containing respectively a first formulation and a second formulation, the two capsules being fluidly linked to each other, an actuation system, movable inside the receiving housing to exert a pressure force on the receiving device and/or on the first and/or the second capsule(s), a retention mechanism, movable relative to the support and configured: in an insertion position, to authorize the insertion and the withdrawal of the receiving device into/from the receiving housing, and in a retention position, to block the withdrawal of the receiving device from the receiving housing.
