Mixing and dispensing apparatus to obtain semi-liquid form of a powder material
A mixing and dispensing apparatus to facilitate automatic mixing and dispensing of a semi-liquid form of a powder material when mixed with a fluid. The apparatus comprises a mechanism to hold and rotate a cartridge, an actuation device, and an injection unit. The cartridge consists of the powder material to be mixed with the fluid. The mechanism rotates the cartridge about a primary axis of rotation and a secondary axis of rotation to uniformly mix the powder material with the fluid. The actuation device performs a piercing stroke to pierce one end of the cartridge, and a dispensing stroke to dispense the semi-liquid form of the powder material through an opposing end of the cartridge. Further, the injection unit is disposed within the actuation device to inject a pre-determined quantity of fluid into the cartridge following piercing stroke.
Mixing device and methods thereof
A mixing device and methods of utilizing the same. More specifically, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a mixing device that may be used to make medications and specialized pharmaceuticals for administration via intrathecal infusion therapy, or the like. A mixing device may comprise an upper chamber, a lower chamber having four compartments for accepting an amount of medication, wherein the upper chamber and the lower chamber may be coupled and may be used to mix and make medication accessible via a Luer Lock adapter, termination, or the like, wherein the device is in compliance with USP 797 standards.
Mixing device, in particular designed for mixing bone cement
A mixing device, in particular for bone cement, in which at least two ampoules provided with a septum are pushed onto needles, in parallel to each other, for discharging the liquid.
BONE CEMENT MIXING AND DELIVERY SYSTEM WITH REDUCED FUME EXPOSURE
A system for bone cement includes a vial holder configured for receiving a vial and including a holding structure for maintaining the vial in the vial holder. The vial includes a monomer component for bone cement. A holder chamber is configured to receive and secure the vial holder. The vial holder is advanced toward a vial-breaking device for breaking the vial and releasing its contents into the holder chamber past the elastomeric seal. Once the vial holder is advanced further the elastomeric seal is deformed to form a seal and prevent fumes produced from escaping from the device.
POWDER TRANSFER BAGS AND REHYDRATION SYSTEM
A powder transfer bag includes a balloon or a membrane sealing its mouth. A connector to be used with the bags allows the bag to connect to a hydration device. A method of hydrating material in a powder transfer bag is provided.
Selected serving and flavored sparkling beverage maker
A beverage maker is provided having a filtered water system for processing pressurized potable water, a flavor infusion system, and a beverage discharge. Purified filtered water is thereby directed alternately directly to a beverage discharge, or through the flavor infusion system to the beverage discharge. An additional water carbonation system may be incorporated between the filtered water and the flavor infusion system such that carbonated, filtered water may be directed alternately directly to a beverage discharge, or through the flavor infusion system to the beverage discharge. The beverage maker is capable of alternately dispensing filtered, flavored, carbonated or noncarbonated water based beverages.
CONTAINER FOR HOLDING FLOWABLE MATERIAL AND RELEASING THE SAME INTO CARBONATED WATER
Containers for holding flowable materials and releasing the same into carbonated water. Methods for preparing a carbonated beverage using containers for holding flowable materials and releasing the same into carbonated water
Container system for mixing and dispensing
A container system for mixing and dispensing that comprises two containers, each container holding one or more ingredients. A first container is sealed with a frangible seal. A second container is sealed with a reusable cap and closure. At the time of use, the containers are able to be joined in a way that creates a passageway from one container to the other, which allows the ingredients in each container to mix. When the containers are separated, the first container is empty, and the second container holds the mixed ingredients. The second container can be fitted with the reusable cap closure to seal off the mixed ingredients from the ambient environment.
BONE CEMENT MIXING CARTRIDGE AND METHOD OF USE
A container for bone cement includes a first member defining a chamber, which contains a first ingredient. The chamber also includes a second member movably coupled to the first member. The second member includes a mixing device that is movably disposed within the first chamber, and the second member defines a second chamber containing a second ingredient. The container additional includes an opening device that selectively opens the second chamber and allows the second ingredient to enter from the second chamber into the first chamber. The mixing device is movable within the first chamber to promote mixing of the first ingredient and the second ingredient to prepare the bone cement. A corresponding method of preparing bone cement is also disclosed.
MULTI-USE BEVERAGE SYSTEM
Described herein is a beverage system that is configured to produce beverages having different characteristics, such as different levels of carbonation including producing substantially non-carbonated beverages and carbonated beverages with a single machine. The beverage system includes a beverage appliance and a beverage container. The beverage container includes a beverage material, which can include a flavoring ingredient for a target beverage. The beverage appliance is used to access the beverage material from the beverage container and produce the target beverage. The beverage appliance and beverage container are adaptable to produce the target beverage having any of a range of carbonation levels or other characteristics.
