Apparatus and method for mixing and dispensing fluids
An apparatus and method for mixing a concentrated product and a liquid. The apparatus includes a body defining an internal volume. A mixing device is positioned at least partially within the internal volume. The mixing device includes one or more vanes that separate the internal volume into a first portion and a second portion when the mixing device is in a first position. The first portion and the second portion are in fluid communication with one another when the mixing device is in a second position.
Mixing device with anti-spoilage monitor
System and method for enabling accurate spoilage monitoring of a liquid food product or the like from the moment it is created, until the time it is either consumed or needs to be discarded. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a container for the food product, or a device to be attached to a container, is equipped with a switch, thermometer, other environmental sensors, controller and alarm. The switch is activated automatically or manually at the moment when the liquid food product is created, and then the temperature and other environmental parameters of the food product are monitored during the subsequent course of time, all the while keeping track of the temperature history of the product throughout the period, until the controller calculates that the maximum safe period has expired; whereupon an alarm is activated to warn the user to discard the product.
Carbonation cup for carbonated beverage maker
A carbonated beverage maker includes a water reservoir, a carbon dioxide creation chamber, and a carbonation chamber. The water reservoir holds ice water and has a first impeller and a shroud surrounding the first impeller. The carbon dioxide creation chamber contains chemical elements and receives warm water. The chemical elements react with each other to create carbon dioxide when the warm water is introduced to the carbon dioxide creation chamber. The carbonation chamber is connected to the water reservoir and the carbon dioxide creation chamber. The carbonation chamber has a second impeller that includes a stem portion and blades. The stem portion and the blades define conduits therein. The blades create a low pressure region in a lower portion of the carbonation chamber such that carbon dioxide from the carbon dioxide creation chamber flows through the conduits to the low pressure region.
SYSTEM FOR MIXING BEVERAGES AND METHOD OF DOING THE SAME
A module includes a housing, a sealing feature, a locking feature, and an agitator. The housing has an opening separating inner and outer surfaces and a boss that extends through the housing such that part of the outer surface forms an inner bore of the boss having a terminus pointing toward the opening. The agitator has a base, a shaft, and a mixing element coupled to the base such that the base, in cooperation with the sealing feature, circumferentially seals the opening of the housing to form a cavity defined by the inner surface. The shaft passes through the inner bore. The locking feature when engaged permits independent or simultaneous translational and rotational movement of the shaft while an area between the terminus of the boss and the shaft remains mechanically sealed during the movement against liquid or powder encroachment into a clean area of the inner bore.

Storage and mixing system for pasty cement components and method therefor
A storage and mixing system for pasty two-component polymethyl methacrylate bone cements comprises a tubular cartridge having a cylindrical inner chamber, a dispensing plunger that is axially displaceable in the inner chamber of the cartridge, a partition disposed axially in the tubular cartridge, and a cartridge head which closes one end of the tubular cartridge. The cartridge head has a slot-shaped opening, wherein the partition protrudes from the inner chamber of the cartridge through the slot-shaped opening of the cartridge head, wherein the partition divides the cylindrical inner chamber of the cartridge bounded by the dispensing plunger and the cartridge head into two cavities that are spatially separated from one another. A first pasty cement component is present in the first cavity and a second pasty cement component is present in the separate second cavity, wherein the partition is removable through the slot-shaped opening of the cartridge head so that the two separate cavities are connected to one another after the partition is removed.
MIXING DEVICE AND METHODS THEREOF
A mixing device and methods of utilizing the same. More specifically, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a mixing device that may be used to make medications and specialized pharmaceuticals for administration via intrathecal infusion therapy, or the like. A mixing device may comprise an upper chamber, a lower chamber having four compartments for accepting an amount of medication, wherein the upper chamber and the lower chamber may be coupled and may be used to mix and make medication accessible via a Luer Lock adapter, termination, or the like, wherein the device is in compliance with USP 797 standards.
CARBONATED BEVERAGE MAKERS, METHODS, AND SYSTEMS

Device for storing and mixing bone cement
A device and/or method stores, mixes, and applies polymethylmethacrylate bone cement, wherein the device and/or method comprising a first container for a first pasty component, a dispensing plunger that is arranged such that it can be shifted in the first container and serves for extruding the content of the first container through a dispensing tube opposite from the dispensing plunger. The dispensing tube can be rotated and shifted in longitudinal direction through a feed-through in a side of the first container opposite from the dispensing plunger. A mixing facility is arranged in the first container, is secured to the dispensing tube, and is movable in the first container by moving the dispensing tube. At least one second container for at least one second component is arranged on the first container, whereby the internal space of the at least one second container is closed with respect to the internal space of the first container by means of a closure, which is openable. The at least one second container is limited, on the side opposite from the closure, by a dosing plunger, and whereby at least one limiting surface of the first container is formed by a mobile volume compensation element.
