The invention relates to a mixer (11) for dispensing a multi-component material comprising: a first inlet (14a, 14b) for at least a first component (A, B) of the multi-component material; a mixing tube (18); a compartment (21a, 21b) for at least a second component (C) of the multi-component material; a duct (25a, 25b) that establishes a fluid communication between the inlet and the compartment, wherein the duct forms a first exit (20a, 20b) into the mixing tube and the compartment forms a second exit (22a, 22b) into the mixing tube.

A crossover prevention valve for use in a multi-component fluid mixing and dispensing system includes a valve body defining at least two fluid passageways having respective one-way check valves at their outlet ends. A forward end of the valve body cooperates with an interior surface of a dispensing nozzle to define a mixing chamber for chemically reactive fluids prior to discharging the mixed fluids out of the dispensing nozzle. The crossover prevention valve does not permit reverse flow, thereby preventing clogs due to undesired intrusion of one reactant into the flow path of another reactant. The supplying portion supplies granular material to a supply destination; the valve body includes a material supplying passage penetrating the valve body so as to provide an inlet and an outlet on a side circumferential face and includes a closing portion closing the guide hole when the valve body is at a closed position, the closing portion being provided in the guide hole; and the material supplying passage slants in such a manner that the inlet opens in the storage container and the outlet opens outside the storage container when the valve body is at a supply position supplying granular material.

Further, the apparatus has a rotatable base that allows the chemicals to be forced out of a nozzle as the base is rotated through a pair of expansion members respectively affixed to moving rear walls which move longitudinally to push a respective chemical into a front mixing tip from which the combined chemicals are discharged.

Dispensing system for dispensing a mixture of a first component and a second component, the dispensing system comprising: (i) a dispensing gun comprising an inlet body with a first passage for feeding in the first component under pressure and a second passage for feeding in the second component under pressure, the first and second passages respectively comprising a closable first outlet and a closable second outlet, which may be operable by means of a handle or trigger of the dispensing gun; (ii) a static mixing nozzle, detachably connectable to the outlets of the body and provided for mixing and dispensing the components, the static mixing nozzle comprising a first section containing a first chamber and a second chamber for conducting the first and second component respectively and a second section, subsequent to the first section (in forwards flow direction), containing a mixing chamber with static mixing elements which promote mixing the first and second components and conducting the mixture to a nozzle tip serving as an outlet for the mixture. According to the invention, at least one of the first and second chambers of the static mixing nozzle contains a series of static backflow prevention elements, arranged for hindering backflow of the respective component within the respective chamber.

The present disclosure relates to a mixer having a mixer housing which encloses a mixing chamber, an input part which can be connected to the mixer housing and has at least two input openings for the components to be mixed, and a mixing element, at least some sections of which extend into the mixing chamber, wherein each of the input openings is flow-connected to the mixing chamber via at least one input duct, wherein there is also in the input part at least one compensation duct which connects the input openings to each other, and/or at least one holding chamber is provided in the mixing element.

A capsule for mixing multiple substances, comprising: a main chamber having a main chamber bottom and a main chamber top opening; at least two repository tubular chambers, each: adapted to contain substance, mechanically connected to the main chamber and having a repository tubular chamber top opening; at least two passages, each fluidly connecting one of the at least two repository tubular chambers to the main chamber; a main piston fitted in the main chamber; and a mixer rod having a mixer element disposed at a distal end and a torque adapter disposed at a proximal end for transferring a torque to the mixer element, the mixer rod is fitted to pass along the main piston such that the mixer element is mounted in the main chamber between the main chamber bottom and a distal end of the main piston when the main piston is in the outward position.

A portioning machine for providing a custom cosmetic includes a mixer having a mixing chamber and also accommodates a plurality of syringes having outlets that are directly coupled to the mixing chamber. In one embodiment, the portioning machine includes a plurality of slots, where each slot is configured to receive an assembly having at least one syringe. In another embodiment, the portioning machine includes a slot configured to receive an assembly having a plurality of syringes. Each syringe is associated with an actuator, and the portioning machine includes a portioning processor configured to control the actuators to dispense additives from selected syringes into the mixing chamber in accordance with a target set of additive ratios to produce the custom cosmetic.
