Method and apparatus for controlling game
A method and apparatus for controlling a game are provided. The method for controlling a game according to one embodiment includes receiving state information of one or more applications installed in a first user terminal from the first user terminal, displaying a selection screen to receive a user's selection of a target application to be controlled from among the one or more applications, and transmitting control information for controlling a state of the target application selected by the user from among the one or more applications through the selection screen to the first user terminal based on the state information.
Presenting digital content item with tiered functionality
Acquiring an interactive digital content item including a plurality of content portions includes receiving a first set of the content portions that is less than an entirety of the content portions. A partial functionality version of the interactive digital content item is presented using the first set of content portions. A second set of the content portions is received while the partial functionality version of the interactive digital content item is presented. Functionality is added to the partial functionality version of the interactive digital content item using the second set of content portions without interrupting presentation of the partial functionality version of the interactive digital content item.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF LEVERAGING ANONYMITY OF COMPUTING DEVICES TO FACILITATE TRUTHFULNESS
The present disclosure provides a description of systems and methods for providing anonymity to users of computing devices engaged in communication to facilitate truthfulness by the users. A first mobile computing device may establish, with a plurality of other mobile computing devices, a game between a first user of the first mobile computing device and a plurality of other users respectively of the plurality of other mobile computing devices. The first mobile computing device may transmit a first original question and preset answer options for display. The first mobile computing device may determine a first follow-up question to the first original question, a correct answer to the first follow-up question, and one or more incorrect answers to the first follow-up question based on the answer to the first original question from the first user and the plurality of answers to the first original question from the plurality of other users.
Football board game
A football-style chess game and method for opposed players includes an eight-by-eight checkerboard-style game board having an End Zone at each player end of the board, two sets of game pieces, each set including conventional chess pieces, e.g. a Quarterback (QB), a Fullback (FB), a Running Back (RB), a Wide Receiver/Defensive Back (WR/DB), a Linebacker (LB), and eight Front Line (FL) pieces. A method is also disclosed wherein the chess game is played for a fixed duration of time, and points (dollar values) are awarded to the players. The player having the highest cumulative point total at the end of the game is then declared the winner. A method is also disclosed for adapting the chess game for play electronically, such as through a global network of computers.
MIGRATING THE RUNTIME STATE OF A CONTAINER BETWEEN TWO NODES
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to migrating the in-memory state of a containerized application to a destination node. A processing device may identify a destination node on which a container currently running on a source node is to be migrated. The processing device may determine whether the destination node includes a replica of each base layer the container is comprised of, and may transmit a replica of each base layer the destination node is missing to the destination node. The processing device may halt the stream of data from the application to the client device, and transfer a replica of an in-memory layer of the container to the destination node so that the destination node further includes a second in-memory layer that is a replica of the in-memory layer.

The first mobile computing device may determine a first follow-up question to the first original question, a correct answer to the first follow-up question, and one or more incorrect answers to the first follow-up question based on the answer to the first original question from the first user and the plurality of answers to the first original question from the plurality of other users.
Providing virtual items based on location-based actions
A method of providing virtual items based on location-based action is disclosed. An indication is received of a performance of a location-based action by a player of a computer-implemented game. A virtual item is provided based on the receiving of the indication of the performance of the location-based action by the player of the computer-implemented game. The virtual item may be usable within the computer-implemented game.
SERVER AND METHOD FOR PLAYING LOCATION-BASED GAME
Provided is a game server for providing a location-based game, including: a location information receiving unit configured to receive location information of a first device from the first device; a game providing unit configured to provide a game based on the location information of the first device to the first device; and an identification information receiving unit configured to receive identification information of the first device from the first device. The location information of the first device is set based on location information of the connected second device, the first device is a device without a GPS (Global Positioning System) function and the second device is a device with the GPS function, the game providing unit allocates a first game environment to the identification information of the first device, and the identification information of the first device includes at least one of a UUID (Universal Unique Identifier), a GUID (Global Unique Identifier), and a Mac Address.
