Provided is a mixing apparatus. The mixing apparatus comprises a housing defining a primary chamber, an inlet for receiving material into the mixing apparatus, as well as an outlet for discharging material from the mixing apparatus. The housing provides within the primary chamber a plurality of rotating shafts, each rotating shaft having a plurality of flailing fixtures associated therewith.

In a device and a method for mixing components of a ceramic starting material, a flowable powdered ceramic material as a first component can be supplied via a first inlet opening and a flowable powdered additive as a second component can be supplied via at least one further inlet opening, each in a meterable manner, to a mixing system in such a way that the first component and the second component mix homogeneously in the mixing system to form a mixed material variably enriched with the additive, which can be supplied as a ceramic starting material for further processing.

Mixing funnel
A mixing funnel for mixing fluids is provided. In one embodiment, the mixing funnel includes a tray having a fluid inlet arranged to receive a primary fluid flow, and first and second fluid passages configured to receive primary fluid flow from the fluid inlet such that the flow is divided to flow along the first and second fluid passages. The first and second fluid passages can be arranged to direct the primary fluid flow to a mixing area. The tray can further include a fluid outlet arranged to receive the primary fluid flow from the mixing area and to deliver the fluid to a container.
