In one embodiment, the methods comprise receiving a base fluid, mixing an additive to a portion of the base fluid to form at least a portion of the well treatment fluid; and supplying the portion of the well treatment fluid to at least one or both of a first discharge pump selectively fluidically coupled to a mixer and a second discharge pump selectively fluidically coupled to the mixer. A plurality of valves are operated so as to select one of the first discharge pump and the second discharge pump to receive a flow of the portion of the well treatment fluid from the mixer.

Dual component applicator
10543467 · 2020-01-28 · ·

A mixing applicator for mixing a fluid substance with a solid substance to obtain a resulting substance having a desired consistency, comprises: two valves slidably displaceable within a hollow elongated barrel and sequentially arranged along a longitudinal axis, the valves having a third cross-sectional shape being complementary to a first cross sectional shape, thereby providing fluid-tight engagement within the first cross-sectional shape, the third cross-sectional shape being mismatched with a second cross-sectional shape to form a mismatch zone along a length of a chamber, the mismatch zone allowing fluid flow around the valves, thereby to allow the two valves to effect mixing of the fluid substance with the solid substance and subsequently to remove excess fluid to obtain the resulting substance having the desired consistency.

Bone cement applicator with three-way valve for pressure relief

A MEMS multiplexing system including: first and second fluid inputs; and a mixing network. The mixing network including: a first channel to receive the first fluid input; a second channel to receive the second fluid input; a multiplexing valve communicating with the first channel and the second channel, the multiplexing valve to cause the transport of the first fluid into the second channel so as to form a first interleaved fluid downstream from the multiplexing valve in the second channel and to cause the transport of the second fluid into the first channel so as to form a second interleaved fluid downstream from the multiplexing valve in the first channel; and the first channel and the second channel intersecting downstream from the valve so as to force mixing of the first interleaved fluid and the second interleaved fluid.

Apparatus for mixing materials dissolved in a high-pressure working fluid
11931709 · 2024-03-19 · ·

The present invention relates to a mixing apparatus. A production unit produces a working fluid that is in a supercritical state or a subcritical state. A storage unit stores a material. A dissolving unit dissolves the material in the working fluid. A mixer mixes the material together in the presence of the working fluid. A material feed valve opens or closes a flow passage through which the material is to pass to be fed from the storage unit into the dissolving unit. A working fluid inflow valve opens or closes a flow passage through which the working fluid is to pass to flow into the dissolving unit from the production unit. A mixer inflow valve opens or closes a flow passage through which the working fluid and the material are to pass to flow into the mixer from the dissolving unit.
