Pharmacy Formulation Production System and Pharmacy Formulation Production Method for Producing Pharmaceutical Individual Formulations
A pharmacy formulation preparation system (2) for preparing individual pharmaceutical formulations such as formulations for ointments, semisolid preparations, eye drops, lotions, pills, capsules or teas in quantities of up to 5 kg, according to the invention comprises: reading means (8); weighing means (12); mixing means (14), in particular a stirrer having a drive and a mixing container; display means (10); a data processing unit (4) adapted to have access to data in a pharmacy-associated stock database area (6); a preparation database (18) comprising composition information; and that for the read-in individual prescription data of an individual prescription, by accessing the preparation database (18), the raw materials required for preparing the individual prescription and the respective quantities thereof as well as the time period, the processing devices and the procedure parameters of the mixing procedure can be determined.
BLENDING COLOR AND CONTROL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A method is provided for preparing a hair dye color mixture. The method includes: providing a control system having at least a memory, input controls, and a display; storing in the memory at least one formula, the formula including one or more colorants and/or dye blending materials, and wherein each colorant and/or blending material is separately assigned to an initial product brand; receiving input from the input controls to change a colorant and/or blending material from the initial product brand to one or more subsequent product brands, and wherein the control system recalculates components of the formula using the one or more subsequent product brands in response to receiving input from the input controls; and matching the color of the hair dye color mixture made from colorants and/or dye blending materials of the initial product brand using colorants and/or dye blending materials of the one or more subsequent product brands, in response to the input.
ADAPTIVE MIXING SYSTEM
Disclosed is an adaptive mixing system. The system comprises: dispensers for dispensing ingredients; a mixing unit for receiving and mixing the dispensed ingredients to form a mixture; a weighing device associated with the mixing unit, to weigh amounts of the ingredients received in the mixing unit; and a control system configured to cause the dispensers to dispense a predetermined weight, as measured by the weighing device, of each ingredient. The control system is configured to determine a consistency of the mixture based on measurements from one or both of the mixing unit and the weighing device; compare the consistency to a reference consistency to determine if the consistency and reference consistency are a match, and in the absence of a match, to cause an additional weight of the ingredient(s) to be dispensed to result in such as match.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DEVELOPING FORMULATIONS
The various embodiments of the present invention generally relate to an automated apparatus, wherein the automated apparatus is configured to formulate a target entity, thereby developing formulations of the target entity by using a high throughput screening (HTS) procedure and method of employing the presented automated apparatus is also disclosed herein. Other advantages that are understood from the present disclosure will further be apparent to the reader.
Miniaturised device for automated manufacture of pharmaceutical compositions, and associated method
The present invention relates to a device (60) for manufacturing pharmaceutical compositions, comprising: a support (62); a mixing container (16); a plurality of reservoirs (18, 20) containing starting materials for the composition of a medicament; at least one dispensing device (64, 66) that is designed to dispense an amount of a starting material into the mixing container, wherein the dispensing device is assembled, or is designed to be assembled, with a reservoir; a stirring device (68) that is able to stir the mixing container and/or the contents of the mixing container; and an electronic module (74) for controlling the at least one dispensing device.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR METERING FLUID
Proposed is a fluid metering device including a mixer receiving fluid in a storage tank, a metering tank metering and supplying the fluid to the mixer, a first transfer device transferring the fluid from the storage tank to the metering tank, a second transfer device transferring an input of the metered fluid to the mixer, a sensor measuring a fluid mass in the metering tank, and a controller stopping the first transfer device and activating the second transfer device with the initial remaining fluid greater than the input, and allowing the second transfer device to transfer the amount of input from the metering tank to the mixer, based on the fluid mass from the sensor and preset first and second metering set values, so that it is possible to quickly input a desired amount of fluid step by step, and to precisely adjust a fluid input into a final process.
GRAVIMETRIC BLENDING SYSTEM
A gravimetric blending system can include fluid storage reservoirs, a pivotable dispensing arm having dispensing nozzles, wherein each dispensing nozzle is configured to dispense a predetermined amount of fluid from each fluid storage reservoir a fluid container, and a scale configured to detect a weight applied to the scale. The gravimetric blending system may further include a controller configured to receive user inputs, identify a fluid contained within one of the fluid storage reservoirs that will contribute to the blend and the required weight of the fluid. The controller may be further configured to identify the expected change in weight to be detected by the scale, cause an amount of the fluid to be dispensed, detect the weight applied to the scale after the fluid has been dispensed, compare the detected weight to the expected change in weight, and determine if the expected weight of the fluid was dispensed.
