MULTI-CHANNEL GRAVIMETRIC BATCH BLENDER
A weighing apparatus for the preparation of a mixture of granular components that comprise batches of material required by a plurality of processing machines in a plant for the manufacture of plastic products is described. The apparatus comprises a Multi-Channel Gravimetric Batch Blender (MCGBB) configured to weigh predetermined weights of the raw materials and to combine the weighed portions of raw materials into batches according to a predetermined recipe for each processing machine and a computer that controls the operation of all components of the MCGBB. The MCGBB comprises several weighing units arranged in a way that allows material weighed in each of the weighing units to fall through individual chutes via a common funnel into a manifold that distributes the weighed batches to several processing machines via a system of delivery pipes.
Color conversion system and method
A method is provided for preparing a hair dye color mixture. The method includes: accessing a control system having at least a processor, a memory, and user input controls, the memory configured to store ingredients of a hair dye color mixture, each ingredient of the hair dye color mixture being from an initial product brand; receiving user input from the user input controls to change one or more ingredients of the hair dye color mixture from the initial product brand to one or more subsequent product brands; matching the color of the hair dye color mixture made from one or more ingredients of the initial product brand using one or more ingredients of the one or more subsequent product brands, in response to the user input; and displaying the ingredients of the hair dye color mixture in the one or more subsequent product brands on a display.
ADVANCED FLUID PROCESSING METHODS AND SYSTEMS
This disclosure features methods of forming chemical compositions. The method includes (1) mixing a plurality of continuous material flows in a mixing tank to form a chemical composition, each continuous material flow including at least one component of the composition; and (2) moving a continuous flow of the chemical composition to a packaging station downstream of the mixing tank. The mixing and moving steps are performed continuously. This disclosure also features systems that can be used to perform such methods.

The disclosure relates to a labelling machine for applying labels onto containers using cold glue, comprising a glue supply device. The glue supply device is configured to produce the cold glue from several components, in particular at least one liquid and one solid component, so that the cold glue required for applying the labels can be produced by processing the components, in particular mixing them together.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PRELOADING A PLURALITY OF FEED TYPES OF A FEED MIX FOR LIVESTOCK AND METHOD FOR PREPARING FEED MIXES
Preloading a plurality of feed types of a feed mix for livestock in a mixing plant. Feed types are conveyed towards a mixer. Bunkers selectively discharge one of the feed types on a loading conveyor. A controller controls a preloading weight of the feed types to be discharged onto the loading conveyor. Feed types are individually discharge onto dump spots of the loading conveyor at the bunkers and terminate when a predetermined total weight is reached or interrupt when a maximum preloading capacity is reached or feed reaches the end of the loading conveyor. Feed types may be individually discharged from the bunkers onto the dump spots and the main component loaded into the mixer by a loading vehicle, such that the weight of the main portion and the weight of the supplemental portion add up to a programmed total weight of the main component.

A volumetric mixer is provided including a holding section adapted to store one or more materials simultaneously, one or more conveyors disposed in the holding section, a mixing section, one or more heating units disposed in the mixing section, and a control unit. The conveyors are operable to convey materials from the holding section to the mixing section and the one or more conveyors are operable to be individually controlled by the control unit to deliver a pre-determined amount of each material from the holding section to the mixing section.

The present disclosure relates to a method for preparing a coating material composition or a precursor thereof, the method including at least step (1), weighing out all required components into a suitable container by means of at least one metering valve when using a gravimetric metering system, the components that are weighed out into the container being mixed by means of at least one stirring body throughout step (1) and a continuous adaptation of the position of the at least one stirring body to the respective filling level within the container taking place throughout step (1), the respective filling level being predetermined by the amount and number of components that are weighed out into the container and the position of the at least one stirring body corresponding to the height of the stirring body within the container, calculated from the bottom of the container.
