Method for producing ketone and/or alcohol, and system thereof
This invention provides producing having an objective ketone and/or alcohol by decomposing of a hydrocarbon compound rapidly and selectively having a same number of carbon atoms as a hydrocarbon compound by decomposing a hydroperoxide in a reaction solution obtained from oxidizing the hydrocarbon compound using molecular oxygen of this invention involves, a hydroperoxide decomposition step for decomposing the hydroperoxide into the ketone and/or alcohol by contacting the reaction solution with an aqueous solution containing a carbonate of an alkaline earth metal or a carbonate of an alkali metal and a transition metal compound, a separation step for separating into an oil phase comprising the ketone and/or alcohol, and a water phase comprising the carbonate of an alkaline earth metal or carbonate of an alkali metal and the transition metal compound, a recovery step for recovering the carbonate of an alkali metal or carbonate of an alkaline earth metal and the transition metal compound by combusting the water phase, and a recycling step for recycling to the hydroperoxide decomposition step by dissolving at least the carbonate of the alkali metal or the carbonate of the alkaline earth metal among the recovered substances obtained from the recovery step in water.
METHOD FOR PREPARATION OF N-BUTYL NITRITE
The invention discloses a method for the continuous preparation of n-butyl nitrite with a low content of n-butanol comprising the reaction of n-butanol, an acid and NaNO.sub.2 in a continuous way, in which the n-butanol, an acid and NaNO.sub.2 are mixed in a mixing device which provides for a pressure drop of at least 1 bar; the acid is selected from the group consisting of HCI, H.sub.2SO.sub.4, formic acid, methanesulfonic acid, and mixtures thereof; and the amount of HCI is at least 1.02 molar equivalent based on the molar amount of n-butanol.
Method for the treatment of a liquid, in particular a mineral oil
A method is disclosed for the treatment of a liquid, in particular a mineral oil, for increasing the portion of low-boiling fractions. The treatment comprises generating pressure waves having a first frequency, subjecting the liquid to said pressure waves in a region of application and feeding the so-treated liquid to a tank. At least one pipe flowed through by the treated liquid and immediately following said region of application is excited to oscillations of a second frequency, which is the resonance frequency of the excited system.
Process for producing nitrobenzene
The present invention relates to a process for the continuous production of nitrobenzene by the nitration of benzene with nitric acid and sulphuric acid under adiabatic conditions, not the entire production plant being shut down during a production stop, but the production plant being entirely or at least partly operated in recirculation mode. The invention further relates to a plant for producing nitrobenzene and to a method for operating a plant for producing nitrobenzene.
CONTINUOUSLY RUNNING EXOTHERMIC REACTOR SYSTEM
A heat generating system comprises two or more thermal reactors. During operation, a first thermal reactor is pressurized while a second thermal reactor is depressurized to vent unused gas and byproduct. The unused gas and byproduct from the second reactor are separated in a gas separator and the unused gas is supplied to the first reactor while the first reactor is pressurized. An exothermic reaction is triggered in the first reactor, which results in generation of heat and byproduct cluster formation. When the exothermic reaction is complete, the process is reversed and the second thermal reactor is pressurized while the first reactor is depressurized.
PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF THERMOPLASTIC MOULDING COMPOUNDS
The invention relates to a process for the production of thermoplastic moulding compounds, in particular for the production of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), wherein at least a first reagent (11) and a second reagent (12) of the thermoplastic moulding compounds are fed to a loop conduit (29) which comprises a static mixer (36), wherein the reagents (11, 12) are pressed in loops through the loop conduit (29) and passing the static mixer (36), whereby the reagents (11, 12) are dispersed to form a dispersion (15) in the static mixer (36). The invention also relates to a thermoplastic moulding compound that is produced by the inventive process.
