BISMUTH MOLYBDATE-BASED CATALYST, PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF AND USE OF THIS CATALYST IN THE OXIDATION OF PROPENE TO ACROLEIN
A method for producing a multiphase mixed-oxide catalyst including at least one active phase based on bismuth molybdate and one co-catalyst based on iron molybdate and at least one amongst the two elements cobalt and nickel, includes the following steps:
preparing a mixture of the precursors of said-mixed oxides in a solvent,
making said precursors react through a microwave-assisted hydrothermal reaction, and
isolating the mixed oxides to obtain the catalyst.
A catalyst and a catalytic system prepared in this manner are related to the method as well as the uses of this catalyst and of this catalytic system, in particular in the oxidation of propene into acrolein.

Catalytic oxidation method and method for producing conjugated diene
An object of the present invention is to suppress performance deterioration of a molybdenum composite oxide-based catalyst at the time of performing gas-phase catalytic partial oxidation with molecular oxygen by using a tubular reactor. The present invention relates to a catalytic oxidation method using a tubular reactor in which a Mo compound layer containing a Mo compound and a composite oxide catalyst layer containing a Mo composite oxide catalyst are arranged in this order from a reaction raw material supply port side and under a flow of a mixed gas containing 75 vol % of air and 25 vol % of water vapor at 440° C., a Mo sublimation amount of the Mo compound is larger than a Mo sublimation amount of the Mo composite oxide catalyst under the same conditions.

Supported metal oxides for olefin metathesis and related methods
A method is provided comprising exposing a supported heterogeneous metathesis catalyst to an olefin compound for an activation time at an activation temperature; exposing the activated supported heterogeneous metathesis catalyst to a reactant capable of undergoing a metathesis reaction for a reaction time at a reaction temperature to produce metathesis products; and exposing the deactivated supported heterogeneous metathesis catalyst to a regenerating compound for a regeneration time at a regeneration temperature. The activity of the regenerated supported heterogeneous metathesis catalyst may be substantially the same or greater than the activity of the activated supported heterogeneous metathesis catalyst prior to deactivation. The activation temperature may be greater than the reaction temperature. The regenerating compound may be a second olefin compound or an inert gas.

COS and CS2 abatement method
Disclosed is method for removing carbonyl sulphide and/or carbon disulphide from a sour gas stream. The method comprises subjecting the gas stream to simultaneous contact with an absorption liquid, such as an aqueous amine solution, and with a catalyst suitable for hydrolyzing carbonyl sulphide and/or carbon disulphide. To this end, the invention also provides a reactor system wherein both an absorption liquid and a catalyst are present. In a preferred embodiment, the catalyst is a heterogeneous catalyst present on or in an absorption column, either coated on the trays of a column with trays, or contained in the packing of a packed column.
