Auto thermal reforming (ATR) catalytic systems
An autothermal reforming catalytic structure for generating hydrogen gas from liquid hydrocarbons, steam and an oxygen source. The autothermal reforming catalytic structure includes a support structure and nanosized mixed metal oxide particles dispersed homogenously throughout the support structure.
PROMOTED CARBIDE-BASED FISCHER-TROPSCH CATALYST, METHOD FOR ITS PREPARATION AND USES THEREOF
A precursor for a Fischer-Tropsch catalyst includes a catalyst support, cobalt or iron on the catalyst support and one or more noble metals on the catalyst support, wherein the cobalt or iron is at least partially in the form of its carbide in the as-prepared catalyst precursor, a method for preparing said precursor and the use of said precursor in a Fischer-Tropsch process.
ALKANE ACTIVATION WITH SINGLE AND BI-METALLIC CATALYSTS
Methods, compositions, and articles of manufacture for alkane activation with single- or bi-metallic catalysts on crystalline mixed oxide supports.
CATALYST FOR PRODUCING LIGHT AROMATICS WITH HEAVY AROMATICS, METHOD FOR PREPARING THE CATALYST, AND USE THEREOF
A catalyst for producing light aromatics with heavy aromatics, a method for preparing the catalyst, and a use thereof are disclosed. The catalyst comprises a carrier, component (1), and component (2), wherein component (1) comprises one metal element or more metal elements selected from a group consisting of Pt, Pd, Ir, and Rh, and component (2) comprises one metal element or more metal elements selected from a group consisting of IA group, IIA group, IIIA group, IVA group, IB group, IIB group, IIIB group, IVB group, VB group, VIB group, VIIB group, La group, and VIII group other than Pt, Pd, Ir, and Rh. The catalyst can be used for producing light aromatics with heavy aromatics, whereby heavy aromatics hydrogenation selectivity and light aromatics yield can be improved.
PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF A SUPPORTED COBALT-CONTAINING FISHCER-TROPSCH SYNTHESIS
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a cobalt-containing Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst with good physical properties and high cobalt loading. In one aspect, the present invention provides a process for preparing a supported cobalt-containing Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst, said process comprising the following steps of: (a) impregnating a support powder or granulate with a cobalt-containing compound; (b) calcining the impregnated support powder or granulate and extruding to form an extrudate; or extruding the impregnated support powder or granulate to form an extrudate and calcining the extrudate; and (c) impregnating the calcined product with a cobalt-containing compound; or forming a powder or granulate of the calcined product, impregnating with a cobalt-containing compound and extruding to form an extrudate.
Catalyst and method for its preparation
A catalyst including gold, or a compound thereof, and sulphur, a compound of sulphur, trichloroisocyanuric acid or a metal dichloroisocyanurate on a support, together with a process for manufacturing the catalyst and its use in a chemical process are described.
Electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reactions (HER) with delafossite oxides ABO.SUB.2
The present invention refers to material that includes a compound of the formula ABOx wherein X is >1.5 and ?2.5, A is independently selected from a transition metal of IUPAC groups 10 and 11, and B is independently selected from a transition metal of IUPAC group 6, 7, 8 or 9 or a main group element of IUPAC group 13, as highly active catalyst for a hydrogen evolution reaction (HER).
MEMBRANE TEMPLATE SYNTHESIS OF MICROTUBE ENGINES
Methods, structures, devices and systems are disclosed for fabrication of microtube engines using membrane template electrodeposition. Such nanomotors operate based on bubble-induced propulsion in biological fluids and salt-rich environments. In one aspect, fabricating microengines includes depositing a polymer layer on a membrane template, depositing a conductive metal layer on the polymer layer, and dissolving the membrane template to release the multilayer microtubes.
Palladium oxide dispersed on spinel oxides as catalysts for direct NOx decomposition
Active catalysts for the treatment of a low temperature exhaust gas stream are provided containing palladium oxides dispersed on a spinel oxide for the direct, lean removal of nitrogen oxides from the exhaust gas stream. The low temperature (from about 400 C. to about 650 C.), direct decomposition is accomplished without the need of a reductant molecule. In one example, PdO may be dispersed on a surface of a metal oxide support, such as Co.sub.3O.sub.4 spinel oxide, synthesized using wet impregnation techniques. The PdO/Co.sub.3O.sub.4 catalyst system converts nitric oxide to nitrogen gas with high product specificity, avoiding the production of a significant concentration of the undesirable N.sub.2O product.
GOLD-BASED CATALYST FOR OXIDATIVE ESTERIFICATION OF ALDEHYDES TO CARBOXYLIC ACID ESTERS
The present invention relates to novel catalysts for oxidative esterification, by means of which, for example, (meth)acrolein can be converted to methyl (meth)acrylate. The catalysts of the invention are especially notable for high mechanical and chemical stability even over very long periods. This especially relates to an improvement in the catalyst service life, activity and selectivity over prior art catalysts which lose activity and/or selectivity relatively quickly in continuous operation in media having even a small water content.
