Method for producing diol
The present invention provides a method for producing a diol having a specific structure in high yields while keeping high selectivity. Provided is a method for producing a diol having a specific structure by oxidizing an olefin having a specific structure in the presence of a ruthenium compound.
REGULATOR FOR THE PRODUCTION OF ALKANE SULFONIC ACIDS
The present invention relates to a process for the production of alkane sulfonic acid with a regulator as well as two specific compounds which can be used as regulator in a respective process.
Heterogenized catalyst for acetylene dimerization
A catalyst and a process for using the catalyst are presented. The catalyst is a heterogeneous catalyst and includes active metal halides bonded to functional groups. The functional groups are bonded to a polymeric backbone to form the structure supporting the catalyst. The catalyst is useful for the dimerization of acetylene to convert the acetylene to a larger hydrocarbon, and in particular to dimerize acetylene to vinylacetylene.

Acidic Aromatization Catalyst with Improved Activity and Stability
Methods for producing supported catalysts containing a transition metal and a bound zeolite base are disclosed. These methods employ a step of impregnating the bound zeolite base with the transition metal, fluorine, and high loadings of chlorine. The resultant high chlorine content supported catalysts have improved catalyst activity in aromatization reactions.
Synthesis of bicyclo[2.2.2]octanes
Provided is a process for the preparation of certain 1,4-bicyclo[2.2.2]octane derivatives. The new synthetic procedure involves treating 1,4-dimethylene cyclohexane with an oxidizing agent in the presence of a transition metal catalyst comprising a palladium compound to afford certain oxo-substituted bicyclo[2.2.2]octane species. The process of the invention thus affords a novel and simplified means for the commercial production of a wide variety of bicyclo[2.2.2]octane derivatives.

Reforming catalyst and a method of preparation thereof
The present disclosure relates to a reforming catalyst composition comprising a spherical gamma AI.sub.2O.sub.3 support; at least one Group VB metal oxide sheet coated on to the AI.sub.2O.sub.3 support; and at least one active metal and at least one promoter metal impregnated on the AI.sub.2O.sub.3 coated support. The reforming catalyst composition of the present disclosure has improved activity, better selectivity for total aromatics during naphtha reforming and results in less coke formation. The reforming catalyst composition has improved catalyst performance with simultaneous modification of acidic sites as well as metallic sites through metal support interaction. The acid site cracking activity of the catalyst is inhibited because of the use of chloride free alumina support modified with solid acid such as Group VB metal oxide and impregnated with active metals. The present disclosure provides a process for naphtha reforming in the presence of the reforming catalyst composition of the present disclosure to obtain reformates of naphtha.
Method for reducing carbon deposits on catalyst in recycling HFC-23
Disclosed is a method for reducing carbon deposits on a catalyst in recycling HFC-23. The recycling is realized by means of a fluorine-chlorine exchange reaction with HFC-23 and a halogenated hydrocarbon. The catalyst for the fluorine-chlorine exchange reaction comprises a main body catalyst and a precious metal. The precious metal is selected from at least one of Pt, Pd, Ru, Au or Rh, and has an addition amount of 0.01-2 wt %. During the fluorine-chlorine exchange reaction, hydrogen gas is introduced. The invention has advantages of good catalyst stability, long life, etc.
