HYDROPROCESSING CATALYST HAVING AN ORGANIC ADDITIVE WITH OVERLAID METALS AND METHOD OF MAKING AND USING SUCH CATALYST
A highly active hydroprocessing catalyst that comprises a doped support impregnated with at lease one hydrogenation metal component and filled with an organic additive blend. The catalyst is made by providing a doped support particle followed by impregnating the doped support particle with a metal impregnation solution to provide a metal-impregnated doped support particle. The metal-impregnated doped support particle is dried but not calcined and impregnated with an organic additive blend component.
METHOD AND CATALYST FOR PRODUCING METHYLBENZYL ALCOHOL FROM ETHANOL BY CATALYTIC CONVERSION
Method and catalyst for producing methylbenzyl alcohol from ethanol by catalytic conversion. A route and corresponding catalysts for directly producing methylbenzyl alcohols through catalytic conversion starting from ethanol, providing an important alternative route for increasing the production of aromatic oxygenates. The selectivity of the methylbenzyl alcohols is up to 60%. At the same time, the prepared catalysts have excellent stability. Moreover, this innovative reaction route produces hydrogen as co-product without CO, thus can be directly used in chemical reactions and fuel cells. In addition, the route also produces high carbon number alcohols which can be used as fuels or oil additives to partially replace petroleum-based products, thus partly reducing the dependence on petroleum.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING METAL COMPLEX CATALYST, AND METAL COMPLEX CATALYST PRODUCED BY SAME
A method for preparing a metal complex catalyst by (A) obtaining a precipitate by bringing a metal precursor solution comprising a zinc (Zn) precursor, a ferrite (Fe) precursor, and water into contact with a basic aqueous solution; (B) obtaining a zinc ferrite catalyst by filtering and calcining the precipitate; and (C) supporting an acid onto the zinc ferrite catalyst, and a metal complex catalyst prepared thereby.

Method for catalytically induced hydrolysis and recycling of metal borohydride solutions
The process for obtaining M.sup.1-BH.sub.4, the process comprising contacting M.sup.1-BO.sub.2 with a metal M.sup.2 in the presence of molecular hydrogen (H.sub.2) under conditions permitting the formation of M.sup.1-BH.sub.4 and M.sup.2-oxide, wherein the M.sup.1 is a metal selected from column I of the periodic table of elements or alloys of metals selected from column I of the periodic table of elements and M.sup.2 is a metal or an alloy of metals selected from column II of the periodic table of elements, provided that M.sup.2 is not Mg and M.sup.1 is different from M.sup.2.
CATALYST AND A WASTEWATER TREATMENT METHOD
A catalyst including an amorphous matrix of a metallic glass including iron and phosphorous; wherein when the catalyst performs a catalytic reaction with a reactant, the metallic glass catalyst activates at least some of the reactant, and at least a portion of the catalyst at a surface of the metallic glass matrix transforms to a surface layer including a material property different from that of the metallic glass matrix being covered by the surface layer; and wherein the surface layer is arranged to maintain an amorphous structure of the metallic glass matrix and to facilitate the catalytic reaction to occur at the surface layer.
CATALYST CONTAINING A FURAN COMPOUND AND USE THEREOF IN A HYDROPROCESSING AND/OR HYDROCRACKING METHOD
The invention relates to a catalyst comprising an alumina-, silica- or silica-alumina-based support, at least one group VIII element, at least one group VIB element, and a furan compound. The invention also relates to the method for producing said catalyst and to the use thereof in a hydrotreating and/ or hydrocracking method.
Improved Naphtha Steam Cracking Process
The invention relates to a process of catalytic conversion by dehydro steam cracking of paraffinic and naphthenic hydrocarbons from a naphtha feedstock to propylene in presence of steam, comprising the following steps: a. providing a naphtha feedstock (1) containing one or more paraffins and/or naphthene's comprising 4 to 10 carbons atoms; b. contacting (3) said naphtha feedstock (1) with a catalyst composition in the presence of steam in a reaction zone under dehydro steam cracking conditions at a temperature of at most 650 C., resulting in the production of an effluent (5); c. recovering the effluent of step b) and separating (7) it into a converted fraction (9) and an unconverted fraction (11), wherein the unconverted fraction (11) comprises propane and one or more paraffins comprising 4 to 10 carbons atoms; and d. submitting the unconverted fraction (11) to a steam cracking step;
wherein the catalyst composition comprises one or more acid zeolite catalysts comprising at least one 10-membered ring channels, and one or more soft dehydrogenation elements containing basic compounds selected from rare-earth or alkaline earth metals oxide, salts or hydroxide.
4-way hybrid binary catalysts, methods and uses thereof
The present disclosure describes hybrid binary catalysts (HBCs) that can be used as engine aftertreatment catalyst compositions, specifically 4-way catalyst compositions. The HBCs provide solutions to the challenges facing emissions control. In general, the HBCs include a porous primary catalyst and a secondary catalyst. The secondary catalyst partial coats the surfaces (e.g., the internal porous surface and/or the external surface) of the primary catalyst resulting in a hybridized composition. The synthesis of the HBCs can provide a primary catalyst whose entire surface, or portions thereof, can be coated with the secondary catalyst.
