Dual catalyst system for propylene production
Embodiments of processes for producing propylene utilize a dual catalyst system comprising a mesoporous silica catalyst impregnated with metal oxide and a mordenite framework inverted (MFI) structured silica catalyst downstream of the mesoporous silica catalyst, where the mesoporous silica catalyst includes a pore size distribution of at least 2.5 nm to 40 nm and a total pore volume of at least 0.600 cm.sup.3/g, and the MFI structured silica catalyst has a total acidity of 0.001 mmol/g to 0.1 mmol/g. The propylene is produced from the butene stream via metathesis by contacting the mesoporous silica catalyst and subsequent cracking by contacting the MFI structured silica catalyst.

A catalytic composition for treating a NOx-containing exhaust gas, wherein the composition comprises a copper-substituted small-pore zeolite comprising: i) Ce and/or La in a total amount of about 5 to about 400 g/ft.sup.3; and ii) Nd and/or Nb in a total amount of about 5 to about 400 g/ft.sup.3.
Phosphorus-containing rare-earth-containing MFI structure molecular sieve rich in mesopore, preparation method, and catalyst containing same and application thereof
A rare earth- and phosphorus-containing molecular sieve of MFI structure rich in mesopores has a ratio of n(SiO.sub.2)/n(Al.sub.2O.sub.3) of more than 15 and less than 70. The molecular sieve has a content of phosphorus of 1-15 wt %, calculated as P.sub.2O.sub.5 and based on the dry weight of the molecular sieve. The content of the supported metal in the molecular sieve is 1-10 wt % supported metal M1 and 0.1-5 wt % supported metal M2 based on the oxide of the supported metal and the dry weight of the molecular sieve. The supported metal M1 is one or two selected from lanthanum and cerium, and the supported metal M2 is one selected from iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, manganese, zinc, tin, bismuth and gallium; the volume of mesopores in the molecular sieve represents 40-70% by volume of the total pore volume of the molecular sieve by volume.

A catalyst, including a molecular sieve carrier and an active component. The active component includes: iron, manganese, copper, and a basic promoter potassium. The molecular sieve carrier is a cerium salt and/or praseodymium salt modified-aluminosilicate molecular sieve carrier and/or silica-rich molecular sieve carrier. A method for preparing a catalyst for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, includes: 1) fully dissolving a ferric salt, a manganese salt, a copper salt, and an alkali or a salt containing potassium element in water to yield an aqueous solution, stirring and adding sodium lauryl sulfate to the aqueous solution, and continuing stirring to yield a uniform solution; and impregnating a modified molecular sieve in the uniform solution to yield a mixed solution; and 2) drying and calcining the mixed solution to yield the catalyst.

Mesoporous composite of molecular sieves for hydrocracking of heavy crude oils and residues
A hydrocracking catalyst having a support of a composite of mesoporous materials, molecular sieves and alumina, is used in the last bed of a multi-bed system for treating heavy crude oils and residues and is designed to increase the production of intermediate distillates having boiling points in a temperature range of 204? C. to 538? C., decrease the production of the heavy fraction (>538? C.), and increase the production of gasoline fraction (<204? C.). The feedstock to be processed in the last bed contains low amounts of metals and is lighter than the feedstock that is fed to the first catalytic bed.
