METHOD FOR PRODUCING OLEFINS
To provide a method for producing olefins having the carbon atom number of 2 to 3 with a high yield. A method for producing olefins including following steps (1) and (2): step (1): heating a polyolefin plastic to obtain a decomposed product (pyrolysis step); and step (2): causing the decomposed product obtained at the step (1) to contact with an MFI zeolite containing sodium atoms in the range of 0.10% by mass to 0.30% by mass to obtain catalytically cracked products containing olefins (catalytic cracking step).
Fluid catalytic cracking additive composition for enhancing gasoline octane barrel and a process of preparation thereof
This invention relates to an additive capable of increasing the gasoline octane (by 2-3 units) with minimum loss of gasoline. More specifically, the present invention discloses a fluid catalytic cracking additive composition capable of enhancing gasoline octane, said composition comprising 5-50 wt. % zeolite component, 0-15 wt % alumina, 5-20 wt % colloidal silica, 10-60 wt % kaolin clay, 5-15 wt % phosphate, and 0.1 to 5.0 wt. % of bivalent metal selected from Group-IIA or Group-IB, wherein the zeolite component comprises of medium pore pentasil zeolite in an amount of 1 to 50 wt. % and said zeolite consists of one or more MFI topology zeolite having SiO.sub.2/Al.sub.2O.sub.3 mole ratio in the range of 10-280. The present invention also discloses a process for preparation of the additive.

Catalytic reactor apparatus for conversion of plastics
A catalytic reactor apparatus is disclosed for continuous conversion of plastic wastes into liquid fuels by dispersing a cracking catalyst in molten plastics and cracking plastic macromolecules into smaller hydrocarbons within boiling point range of gasoline and diesel fuel at temperatures significantly lower than thermal pyrolysis and thermal cracking. The catalyst/plastic mixing and heat transfer from the reactor wall to the reaction zone are enhanced using non-Newtonian stirrer. A catalytic membrane filter is used to keep the catalyst fines and unconverted plastic particulates inside the reactor while letting the desirable hydrocarbon vapor be withdrawn out of the reactor.
