Procedure for preparation of improved solid hydrogen transfer agents for processing heavy and extra-heavy crude oils and residues, and resulting product

The present invention relates to the process for preparing improved solid hydrogen transfer agents obtained from a polymer with units containing the structure of naphthalene, phenanthrene or anthracene, which exhibit activity as hydrogen transfer agents in any chemical reduction reaction involving the breaking of double bonds and in treatment, hydrotreatment and hydrodisintegration reactions of heavy and extra-heavy crude oils and of cuts and currents derived therefrom. These improved solid hydrogen transfer agents can be supported and not supported on metal oxides such as boehmite, alumina, silica, titania, kaolin and/or mixture thereof, in the presence of reducing agents such as hydrogen, methane, or natural gas. In addition, the application of these improved solid hydrogen transfer agents obtained from a polymer with units containing the structure of naphthalene, phenanthrene or anthracene, it allows to improve properties of the crudes such as viscosity, decrease in the formation of coke, increase in the yield of distillates and in API gravity. These hydrogen transfer agents, being solid, can be reused and recovered from the reaction medium; they also have a thermal stability such that it can carry out reactions at temperatures up to 450 C.

A modified Y-type molecular sieve contains 0.5-2 wt. % of Na.sub.2O based on the total amount of the modified Y-type molecular sieve. In the modified Y-type molecular sieve, the ratio between the total acid amount measured by pyridine and infrared spectrometry and total acid amount measured by n-butyl pyridine and infrared spectrometry is 1-1.2. The total acid amount measured by pyridine and infrared spectrometry of the modified Y-type molecular sieve is 0.1-1.2 mmol/g. The acid center sites of the molecular sieve of the modified Y-type molecular sieve are distributed in the large pore channels. The molecular sieve is used in the hydrocracking reaction process of a wax oil.

Additive and a catalyst composition comprising the additive for FCC process

The present disclosure relates to an additive and a catalyst composition for a catalytic cracking process of vacuum gas oil for preparing cracked run naphtha having reduced liquid olefin content, and increased propylene and butylene yields in the LPG fraction. The process makes use of a catalyst composition which is a mixture of an FCC equilibrated catalyst and an additive comprising a zeolite, phosphorus and a combination of metal promoters. The process is successful in achieving high propylene and butylene yields in the LPG fraction along with a lower liquid olefin content and increased aromatic content with increase in RON unit in the resultant cracked run naphtha, as compared to that achieved using an FCC equilibrated catalyst alone.
