Zeolite with reduced extra-framework aluminum
The present disclosure generally provides a catalyst composition comprising a zeolite containing iron and/or copper with a reduced amount of extra-framework aluminum. The catalyst composition is useful to catalyze the reduction of nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas in the presence of a reductant.
Composite material, its manufacturing, generation and use in methane cracking
Here disclosed is a composite catalyst for methane cracking and a method of producing the composite catalyst. The composite catalyst includes a substrate formed of metal oxide, and one or more catalytic transition metals solubilized in the metal oxide, wherein the metal oxide includes a metal which differs from the one or more catalytic transition metals, wherein the metal oxide forms a matrix which the one or more catalytic transition metals are solubilized in to render transition metal ions from the one or more catalytic transition metals, wherein the transition metal ions under a reducing atmosphere diffuse to reside as transition metal nanoparticles at a surface of the substrate and the transition metal nanoparticles under an oxidizing atmosphere diffuse away from the surface to reside as transition metal ions in the metal oxide, and wherein the transition metal nanoparticles at the surface induce carbon from the methane cracking to deposit on the transition metal nanoparticles and have the carbon deposited grow away from the substrate.
PLANT LEAVES-DERIVED CARBON MATERIAL DOPED WITH TWO METALS AND PREPARATION AND USE THEREOF
A plant leaves-derived carbon material doped with two metals and preparation and use thereof are provided, the carbon material prepared by carbonizing, in an inert atmosphere, plant leaves which have absorbed ions of two metals M1 and M2. The metal M1 is Co, Mn, or Fe. The metal M2 is Ni, Cu, or Zn. The carbon material can be used as an efficient, green, and safe catalyst for the selective oxidation of cycloalkanes to produce cycloalkanols and cycloalkanones, and enable an increased selectivity of the target products (thus less by-products), a low yield of cycloalkyl peroxides, reduced reaction temperature, low environmental impact, and safe production.
Method and apparatus for the production of a zeolite particle composition
The invention provides a method for the production of a zeolite particle composition which has optimized characteristics, such as enhanced adsorption and specific ion exchange properties. A method and an apparatus for producing improved zeolite particle compositions are provided, where the particles are treated with an oxygen-containing gas during micronisation. The zeolite particle compositions can be used in a method for treatment of the human or animal body by therapy and/or prophylaxis, and specifically in a method of treating or preventing conditions of the human or animal body or symptoms of these conditions that are related to heavy metals, endotoxins, exotoxins, and/or bacterial, viral or parasitic intoxications in or of the digestive system, mucosal surfaces or the skin. Also, new zeolite particle compositions can be used as food additive, as filter for purification of water, in packaging materials, or as cosmetic ingredient.
Catalyst and catalyst group
An object of the present invention is to provide a catalyst ensuring that when a gas-phase catalytic oxidation reaction of a material substance is conducted using a catalyst to produce a target substance, the pressure loss and coking are suppressed and the target substance can be produced in high yield. The present invention is related to a ring-shaped catalyst having a straight body part and a hollow body part, which is used when a gas-phase catalytic oxidation reaction of a material substance is conducted to produce a target substance, wherein a length of the straight body part is shorter than a length of the hollow body part and at least at one end part, a region from an end part of the straight body part to an end part of the hollow body part is concavely curved.
Reactivated hydroprocessing catalysts for use in sulfur abatement
Disclosed herein are methods, systems, and compositions for providing catalysts for tail gas clean up in sulfur recovery operations. Aspects of the disclosure involve obtaining catalyst that was used in a first process, which is not a tailgas treating process and then using the so-obtained catalyst in a tailgas treating process. For example, the catalyst may originally be a hydroprocessing catalyst. A beneficial aspect of the disclosed methods and systems is that the re-use of spent hydroprocessing catalyst reduces hazardous waste generation by operators from spent catalyst disposal. Ultimately, this helps reduce the environmental impact of the catalyst life cycle. The disclosed methods and systems also provide an economically attractive source of high-performance catalyst for tailgas treatment, which benefits the spent catalyst generator, the catalyst provider, and the catalyst consumer.
Catalyst for chemical looping combustion
A catalyst for use in chemical looping combustion is provided. The catalyst includes a mixture of metal oxides dispersed on a ceramic support. The mixture of metal oxides forms a nickel tungsten oxide (NiWO.sub.4) interaction complex which functions as an oxygen carrier in the chemical looping combustion reaction.
Chabazite zeolite catalysts having low silica to alumina ratios
Disclosed are zeolite catalysts having the CHA crystal structure with a low silica to alumina ratio, as well as articles and systems incorporating the catalysts and methods for their preparation and use. The catalysts can be used to reduce NOx from exhaust gas streams, particularly those emanating from gasoline or diesel engines.
Catalyst for oxidative dehydrogenation, method of preparing catalyst, and method of performing oxidative dehydrogenation using catalyst
Provided is a catalyst for oxidative dehydrogenation, a method of preparing the catalyst, and a method of performing oxidative dehydrogenation using the catalyst. The catalyst for oxidative dehydrogenation has improved durability and fillability by including a porous support coated with a metal oxide (AB.sub.2O.sub.4) according to Equation 1:
X wt %+Y wt %=100 wt %, <Equation 1> wherein X is a content of AB.sub.2O.sub.4 and is 5 or more and less than 30, and Y is a content of the porous support and is more than 70 and 95 or less,
wherein the metal oxide exhibits activity during oxidative dehydrogenation. Therefore, when the catalyst is used in oxidative dehydrogenation of butene, the conversion rate of butene and the selectivity and yield of butadiene may be greatly improved.
Acid/metal bifunctional catalysts produced by slurry methods
A method of producing a acid/metal bifunctional catalyst may include: mixing an acid catalyst, a metal catalyst, and a fluid to produce a slurry, wherein the acid catalyst is present at 50 wt % or less relative to a total catalyst weight in the slurry; heating the slurry; producing a powder from the slurry; and calcining the powder to produce the acid/metal bifunctional catalyst. Such acid/metal bifunctional catalyst would be useful in the direct conversion of syngas to dimethyl ether as well as other reactions.
