SUPPORTED ZEOLITE FILMS AND METHODS FOR PREPARING
A method for producing a crystalline film comprising zeolite and/or zeolite-like crystals on a porous substrate is described. The method has the steps of: providing a porous support; modifying at least a surface of the top-layer of said porous support by treatment with a composition having one or more cationic polymer(s); rendering at least the outer surface of said porous support hydrophobic by treatment with a composition having one or more hydrophobic agent(s); subjecting said treated porous support to a composition having zeolite and/or zeolite-like crystals thereby depositing and attaching zeolite and/or zeolite-like crystals on said treated porous support, and growing a crystalline film of zeolite and/or zeolite-like crystals on said treated porous support and calcination. Crystalline films find use in a variety of fields such as in the production of membranes, catalysts etc.
Titanium oxide film and structure
A titanium oxide film by continuous titanium oxide, includes a metallic compound that has a metal atom and a hydrocarbon group and is bonded to a surface of the film, in which absorption occurs at wavelengths of 450 nm and 750 nm.
NOVEL ELECTRODEPOSITION SYSTEM
An electrocoat system for electrodeposition is described. The system includes an inorganic bismuth-containing compound or a mixture of inorganic and organic bismuth-containing compounds. The system demonstrates a high degree of crosslinking and produces a cured coating with optimal crosslinking and corrosion resistance.
HONEYCOMB CATALYTIC CONVERTER
The present invention relates to a honeycomb catalytic converter including: a honeycomb structured body in which multiple through-holes are arranged longitudinally in parallel with one another with a partition wall therebetween; a noble metal supported on the honeycomb structured body; and an inlet-side end face and on outlet-side end face, wherein each partition wall includes a substrate portion in the form of an extrudate containing a ceria-zirconia complex oxide and alumina, and a coat layer formed on a surface of the substrate portion and containing the noble metal, and the inlet-side end face has a higher aperture ratio than the outlet-side end face.
Superlubricious carbon films derived from natural gas
A nanocomposite coating that in turn extract self-replenishing (or -healing), superlubricious carbon film directly from natural gas or hydrocarbon gas in mechanical systems. The coating deposits on sealing and sliding surfaces reducing friction and wear. The result is a reduction in inefficiency, machine breakdown, and adverse environmental impact.
MULTICOMPONENT PLASMONIC PHOTOCATALYSTS CONSISTING OF A PLASMONIC ANTENNA AND A REACTIVE CATALYTIC SURFACE: THE ANTENNA-REACTOR EFFECT
A method of making a multicomponent photocatalyst, includes inducing precipitation from a pre-cursor solution comprising a pre-cursor of a plasmonic material and a pre-cursor of a reactive component to form co-precipitated particles; collecting the co-precipitated particles; and annealing the co-precipitated particles to form the multicomponent photocatalyst comprising a reactive component optically, thermally, or electronically coupled to a plasmonic material.
Oxidation Catalyst for a Compression Ignition Engine
An oxidation catalyst for treating an exhaust gas from a compression ignition engine, which oxidation catalyst comprises: a substrate; a first washcoat region comprising palladium (Pd) and a first support material comprising cerium oxide; and a second washcoat region comprising platinum (Pt) and a second support material.
