Catalyst Ceramic Candle Filter for Combined Particulate Removal and the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) of Nitrogen-Oxides
The present invention pertains to a catalyst for use in the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of nitrogen oxides cornprising: —a ceramic candle filter substrate and—a coating which comprises an oxidic metal carrier comprising an oxide of titanium and a catalytic metal oxide which comprises an oxide of vanadium wherein the mass ratio vanadium/titanium is 0.03 to 0.27, —wherein the mass ratio is calculated based on the mass of vanadium metal and titanium metal, and—wherein the catalyst comprises from about 1 to about 10% by weight of the catalytically active material, and—wherein the catalytic metal oxide is adsorbed onto the surface of the oxidic metal carrier.
Exhaust Gas Purification Catalyst
An exhaust gas purification catalyst provides excellent removal performance of methane, which is chemically stable. Exhaust gas purification catalyst includes a substrate that divides cells through which an exhaust gas flows and a catalyst layer that is provided on a surface of the substrate. The catalyst layer includes a palladium layer containing palladium that extends from a first end part which is an end part on the side into which an exhaust gas in the cells flows to a second end part which is an end part on the side from which an exhaust gas flows out, a platinum layer containing platinum that extends from the second end part to the first end part, and a rhodium layer containing rhodium that is laminated with both the palladium layer and the platinum layer.
EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION CATALYST DEVICE
An exhaust gas purification catalyst device having a substrate, a first catalyst coating layer on the substrate, and a second catalyst coating layer on the first catalyst coating layer. The first catalyst coating layer includes inorganic oxide particles, palladium carried on the inorganic oxide particles, and a barium compound. The second catalyst coating layer includes alumina particles and rhodium carried by the alumina particles. The ratio (M.sub.Ba/M.sub.Rh) between the mass (M.sub.Ba) of barium in the first catalyst coating layer and the mass (M.sub.Rh) of rhodium in the second catalyst coating layer is 5.0-60.0 inclusive.
Selective catalytic reduction articles and systems
Certain selective catalytic reduction (SCR) articles, systems and methods provide for high NOx conversion while at the same time low N.sub.2O formation. The articles, systems and methods are suitable for instance for the treatment of exhaust gas of diesel engines. Certain articles have zoned coatings disposed thereon, for example, a zoned coating comprising an upstream zone comprising a coating layer comprising a steam-activated iron-containing molecular sieve and a downstream zone comprising a coating layer comprising a high copper-containing molecular sieve.

It is an object to provide a catalyst that can effectively purify exhaust gas, in particular, carbon monoxide (CO) in exhaust gas, emitted from a diesel engine, a production method therefor, and an exhaust gas purification method using the same. A diesel engine exhaust gas purification catalyst for purifying exhaust gas emitted from a diesel engine of the present invention comprises a precious metal and alumina and/or zeolite supported on a three-dimensional structure, and has peaks for not less than three different pore sizes in a pore size distribution measured by the mercury intrusion method, wherein one of the peaks is a peak 2 at a pore size of not less than 0.3 μm and less than 1.0 μm, and the pore volume of the peak 2 being greater than 3.1% of the total pore volume.
LAYERED TRI-METALLIC CATALYTIC ARTICLE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE CATALYTIC ARTICLE
The presently claimed invention provides a tri-metallic layered catalytic article comprising: a) a top layer comprising platinum supported on at least one of an oxygen storage component, zirconia component and an alumina component, and rhodium supported on an oxygen storage component; b) a bottom layer comprising a front zone and a rear zone, said front zone comprising palladium supported on an oxygen storage component and an alumina component, and the rear zone comprises platinum supported on at least one of an alumina component, a ceria component, and an oxygen storage component; and c) a substrate, wherein the weight ratio of palladium to platinum is in the range of 1.0:0.4 to 1.0:2.0.

The present invention provides a catalyst module for removing harmful gas, wherein an oxidation reaction or reduction reaction of harmful gas is carried out in a self-heating heating carrier. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the catalyst module for removing harmful gas comprises: a heating carrier composed of an electrically heatable heating body, including one or more flow channels inside, and having a porous structure with pores; and a catalyst region formed on at least a portion of the surface of the heating carrier including the flow channels and containing a catalyst material for promoting a decomposition reaction of harmful gas passing through the flow channels, wherein the catalyst region comprises: a first catalyst layer having a first catalyst material loading amount in the pores of the heating carrier; and a second catalyst layer applied on the inner surface of the heating carrier.
CATALYST ARTICLE HAVING HIGH LOCAL RHODIUM CONCENTRATION
The present invention provides a catalyst article for treating exhaust gas comprising: a substrate comprising an inlet end and an outlet end with an axial length L; a first catalytic region comprising support material particles; at least some of the support material particles are rhodium-supporting support material particles having rhodium supported thereon at a concentration of from 0.001 to 3.5 wt. %, based on the weight of the rhodium-supporting support material particle; and the rhodium is present at a loading of up to 20 g/ft.sup.3 relative to the first catalytic region.

An oxidation catalyst for treating an exhaust gas from a diesel engine, which oxidation catalyst comprises: a first washcoat region comprising platinum (Pt), manganese (Mn) and a first support material; a second washcoat region comprising a platinum group metal (PGM) and a second support material; and a substrate having an inlet end and an outlet end; wherein the second washcoat region is arranged to contact the exhaust gas at the outlet end of the substrate and after contact of the exhaust gas with the first washcoat region.
