MIXED OXIDE WITH HIGH PORE VOLUME
The present invention relates to a mixed oxide composition based on zirconium and cerium, to the process for preparing it and to its use in the field of catalysis. The mixed oxide is characterized by a high specific surface area and a specific porosity after calcination at 1100° C.
Catalytic Cracking Catalyst and Preparation Process Thereof
The catalytic cracking catalyst contains a molecular sieve and an alumina substrate material. The alumina substrate material has a crystalline phase structure of γ-alumina. Based on the volume of pores with a diameter of 2-100 nm, the pore volume of the pores with a diameter of 2-5 nm accounts for 0-10%, the pore volume of the pores with a diameter of more than 5 nm and not more than 10 nm accounts for 10-25%, and the pore volume of the pores with a diameter of more than 10 nm and not more than 100 nm accounts for 65-90%.
Exhaust Gas Purification Catalyst
An exhaust gas purification catalyst provides excellent removal performance of methane, which is chemically stable. Exhaust gas purification catalyst includes a substrate that divides cells through which an exhaust gas flows and a catalyst layer that is provided on a surface of the substrate. The catalyst layer includes a palladium layer containing palladium that extends from a first end part which is an end part on the side into which an exhaust gas in the cells flows to a second end part which is an end part on the side from which an exhaust gas flows out, a platinum layer containing platinum that extends from the second end part to the first end part, and a rhodium layer containing rhodium that is laminated with both the palladium layer and the platinum layer.
EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION CATALYST DEVICE
An exhaust gas purification catalyst device having a substrate, a first catalyst coating layer on the substrate, and a second catalyst coating layer on the first catalyst coating layer. The first catalyst coating layer includes inorganic oxide particles, palladium carried on the inorganic oxide particles, and a barium compound. The second catalyst coating layer includes alumina particles and rhodium carried by the alumina particles. The ratio (M.sub.Ba/M.sub.Rh) between the mass (M.sub.Ba) of barium in the first catalyst coating layer and the mass (M.sub.Rh) of rhodium in the second catalyst coating layer is 5.0-60.0 inclusive.
TITANIUM OXIDE FINE PARTICLE MIXTURE, DISPERSION LIQUID THEREOF, PHOTOCATALYST THIN FILM, MEMBER HAVING PHOTOCATALYST THIN FILM ON SURFACE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING TITANIUM OXIDE FINE PARTICLE DISPERSION LIQUID
Provided is a titanium oxide fine particle mixture having a high photocatalytic activity, especially a high photocatalytic activity in the visible light region. The titanium oxide fine particle mixture contains: first titanium oxide fine particles; and second titanium oxide fine particles, wherein the second titanium oxide fine particles are titanium oxide fine particles with at least an iron component and a silicon component solid-dissolved therein, and the first titanium oxide fine particles are titanium oxide fine particles that may have a component(s) other than an iron component and a silicon component solid-dissolved therein.
EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION CATALYST AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
A substrate (11) of an exhaust gas purification catalyst (10) includes inflow-side cells (21), outflow-side cells (22), and porous partition walls (23) each separating the inflow-side cell and the outflow-side cell. Catalyst portions (14, 15) are provided on surfaces of the partition walls that each face the inflow-side cell and/or surfaces of the partition walls that each face the outflow-side cell. In a cross section vertical to an exhaust gas flow direction, the percentage of the total area of voids, each void satisfying the expression L/{2(πS).sup.1/2}≤1.1, wherein L is the perimeter of the void in the cross section and S is the area of the void in the cross section, is from 3 to 10% based on the apparent area of the catalyst portion present on the partition wall.
LOW TEMPERATURE CO OXIDATION CATALYST
The present disclosure is directed to a low temperature carbon monoxide (LT-CO) oxidation catalyst composition for abatement of exhaust gas emissions from a lean burn engine. The LT-CO oxidation catalyst composition includes an oxygen storage component (OSC), a first platinum group metal (PGM) component, and a promoter metal, wherein the OSC is impregnated with the first PGM component and the promoter metal and the LT-CO oxidation catalyst composition is effective for oxidizing carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) under cold start conditions. Further provided are catalytic articles including the LT-CO oxidation catalyst composition, which may optionally further include a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) composition (giving an LT-CO/DOC article). Further provided is an exhaust gas treatment system including such catalytic articles, and methods for reducing a HC or CO level in an exhaust gas stream using such catalytic articles.
TUNABLE NOx ADSORBER
The present disclosure is directed to a method for treating a gaseous exhaust stream containing nitrogen oxides (NO.sub.x) from a diesel or lean-burn gasoline engine following a cold-start of the engine The method involves contact of the gaseous exhaust stream with at least a low temperature NO.sub.x adsorber (LT-NA) component. The LT-NA component includes a rare earth metal component, a platinum group metal (PGM) component, and a dopant. The present disclosure is also directed to a method of modulating a NO.sub.x adsorption/desorption profile of an LT-NA composition, a NO.sub.x desorption temperature range of an LT-NA composition, or both.
GLASS FIBER FILTER ELEMENT FOR VISIBLE LIGHT PHOTOCATALYSIS AND AIR PURIFICATION AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
A glass fiber filter element for visible light photocatalysis and air purification and a method for preparing the same. The glass fiber filter element includes 4 to 7 wt % of nanoparticles including at least one selected from zinc oxide, graphene oxide, titanium oxide, and reduced graphene oxide, 2 to 7 wt % of silver nanowires, 3 to 12 wt % of an adhesive system, and 78 to 91 wt % of a glass fiber mat, based on the total weight of the glass fiber filter element. The glass fiber mat is made of at least two glass fibers with different diameters, and the diameters are in a range of 0.15 to 3.5 μm. The nanoparticles have a particle size from 1 to 200 nm, and the silver nanowires have a diameter of 15 to 50 nm.
COMPOSITE, ZONED OXIDATION CATALYST FOR A COMPRESSION IGNITION INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A composite oxidation catalyst (18, 20) for use in an exhaust system for treating an exhaust gas produced by a vehicular compression ignition internal combustion engine (30) and upstream of a particulate matter filter (44, 50) in the exhaust system comprises a substrate (5) having a total length L and a longitudinal axis and having a substrate surface extending axially between a first substrate end (I) and a second substrate end (O); and three or more catalyst washcoat zones (1, 2, 3; or 1, 2, 3, 4) arranged axially in series on and along the substrate surface, wherein a first catalyst washcoat zone (1) having a length L.sub.1, wherein L.sub.1<L, is defined at one end by the first substrate end (I) and at a second end by a first end (19, 21) of a second catalyst washcoat zone (2) having a length L.sub.2, wherein L.sub.2<L, wherein the first catalyst washcoat zone (1) comprises a first refractory metal oxide support material and two or more platinum group metal components supported thereon comprising both platinum and palladium at a weight ratio of platinum to palladium of ≥1; the second catalyst washcoat zone (2) comprises a second refractory metal oxide support material and one or more platinum group metal components supported thereon; and a third catalyst washcoat zone (3) comprising a third refractory metal oxide support material and one or more platinum group metal components supported thereon is defined at a second end thereof by the second substrate end (O), wherein a total platinum group metal loading in the first catalyst washcoat zone (1) defined in grams of platinum group metal per cubic foot of substrate volume (g/l) (g/ft.sup.3) is greater than a total platinum group metal loading in the second catalyst washcoat zone (2), wherein a total platinum group metal loading in the third catalyst washcoat zone (3) defined in grams of platinum group metal per cubic foot of substrate volume (g/l) (g/ft.sup.3) is less than the total platinum group metal loading in the second catalyst washcoat zone (2) and wherein the first catalyst washcoat zone (1) comprises one or more first alkaline earth metal components supported on the first refractory metal oxide support material.
