CONVEYOR RIDE SYSTEM

Provided herein is a conveyor ride system that includes a conveyor structure having a plurality of conveyor beams and a plurality of conveyor grooves. The plurality of conveyor beams and the plurality of conveyor grooves are configured to direct a ride vehicle along a surface of the conveyor structure. The surface of the conveyor structure defines at least a portion of a ride path of the conveyor ride system.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANEUVERING A VEHICLE

An amusement park ride vehicle includes a chassis, a cabin, a slider, and a rotator. The chassis is configured to direct the ride vehicle along a ride path in a direction of travel. The cabin is configured to hold one or more passengers. The slider is configured to translate between a neutral position and a cantilevered position relative to the chassis in a direction substantially transverse to the direction of travel and to carry the rotator and the cabin along the direction substantially transverse to the direction of travel. The rotator is coupled between the slider and the cabin, and is configured to rotate the cabin relative to the slider.

Eddy current vehicle drive

A ride that includes an eddy current vehicle drive, and the ride may take the form of a roller coaster with a lift hill. The eddy current vehicle drive includes an eddy current generator with a vehicle-mounted element and a support-mounted element. The support in this ride may be a chain similar to a chain lift system's chain with its drive components. The eddy current vehicle drive may use equipment that is similar to a traditional roller coaster chain lift. The chain has a support-mounted element of the eddy current generator (such as a set of conductor fins) mounted on each link of the chain to form a continuous or nearly-continuous (with small gaps between adjacent pairs of the plates) conductor that extends vertically from the chain. The vehicle's body has a magnet or magnet array to provide the vehicle-mounted element (portion or half) of the eddy current generator.

SUSPENDED ROLLERCOASTER VEHICLE WITH ROTATIONAL LOCKAGE

An amusement device includes a substructure with a passenger seat, which is rotatable relative to a main structure by a bearing and a coupling. The coupling has a coupling ring and a coupling actuator for driving the substructure about a coupling axis C-C. The coupling ring has an end face which is toothed to engage with a toothed end face of a lock element of a lockage for rotationally locking the coupling ring with respect to the main structure. The lock element is axially movable and rotationally constrained with respect to an lockage actuator. A spring and electromagnet respectively serve for axially moving the lock element. During a normal ride, the lockage is open and all kind of rotations are possible, but in case of an interference the lockage engages for safety.
