Boom coaster
A boom coaster includes a passenger vehicle, a track, a bogie coupled to the passenger vehicle and the track and configured to move along the track, and a simulated ride surface positioned above the track and beneath the passenger vehicle. The simulated ride surface is configured to imitate a path of the passenger vehicle, the bogie is coupled to a surface of the passenger vehicle via a leg member extending around the simulated ride surface, and the leg member suspends the passenger vehicle above the simulated surface such that the bogie and the track are blocked from a passenger view perspective of the passenger vehicle.

LOW-FRICTION RECREATIONAL SLIDE SYSTEM
A dry lubricant composition for a slide surface of a recreational slide is disclosed. The dry lubricant composition includes a resin, a lubricant, a thermal conductor, and a hardener. The resin may comprise a silicon or PTFE based Epoxy. The dry lubricant composition is configured to be applied to the slide surface to form a dry lubricant coating thereon. The resultant coefficient of friction between the dry lubricant coating and a ride vehicle for use with the slide is within a range of between about 0.03 to about 0.2.
Low-friction recreational slide system
A recreational slide system is provided. The recreational slide system includes a slide and a ride vehicle configured to support a rider down the slide. The slide includes a slide body with a non-wet lubricated slide surface that extends between a top entrance of the slide and a bottom exit of the slide. The ride vehicle includes a fabric layer that forms a top surface configured to contact the rider and a mesh layer that forms a bottom surface configured to contact the slide surface. The coefficient of friction between the mesh layer of the ride vehicle and the non-wet lubricated slide surface is within a range of between about 0.03 to about 0.2.
AMUSEMENT RIDE
An amusement ride having a track (15) with a curved portion, a carriage (1) for holding an occupant (7) that is movable along the track, and a braking system. At least part of the carriage (1) will move in response to at least one inertial force acting upon the carriage as the carriage traverses the curved portion of the track, in the absence of a counteraction by an occupant of the carriage. The braking system operates in response to the movement of the at least part of the carriage (1) to inducing a braking force. Upon an action by an occupant of the carriage (1) to counteract the induction of the braking force, the braking force acting on the carriage is reduced or substantially avoided.
