Modular point-of-care devices, systems, and uses thereof
The present invention provides devices and systems for use at the point of care. The methods devices of the invention are directed toward automatic detection of analytes in a bodily fluid. The components of the device are modular to allow for flexibility and robustness of use with the disclosed methods for a variety of medical applications.
System and method with fiducials responding to multiple excitation frequencies
Fiducial markers are provided on patterned arrays of the type that may be used for molecular analysis, such as sequencing. The fiducials may have configurations that enhance their detection in image or detection data, that facilitate or improve processing, that provide encoding of useful information, and so forth. Examples of the fiducials may include an always on type that respond to multiple frequencies of radiation used during processing and detection so as to return signals during successive cycles of imaging.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LONGITUDINAL ANALYSIS OF PEPTIDE SYNTHESIS
The present invention provides a system and method for assessing a synthetic peptide population including interrogating a population of peptide features in the presence of a receptor having an affinity for a binder sequence. The population of peptide features is synthesized over a plurality of synthesis periods and includes a plurality of control peptide features synthesized to have an amino acid sequence including the binder sequence. The control peptide features include a first feature synthesized beginning with a first one of the synthesis periods, and a second feature synthesized beginning after the first one of the synthesis periods such that synthesis of the second control peptide feature is delayed by at least one synthesis period. The method further includes detecting a signal output characteristic of an interaction of the receptor with the control peptide features, the signal output indicative of the fidelity of synthesis of the population of peptide features.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MULTIPLEX ASSAYS
Disclosed herein are compositions comprising beads with unique analog code identifiers for storing information about a multiplex assay as well as methods for using the same in multiplex chemical and biological assays.
Systems and Methods for Detection of and Compensation for Malfunctioning Droplet Dispensing Nozzles
An apparatus and method for a dispenser with nozzles configured to eject lines of droplets of formable material onto a substrate in response to ejection signals. The fluid dispenser dispenses a first line of ejected droplets of formable material onto a first location on the substrate. A line camera generates camera signals that are representative of the first line of ejected droplets. The camera signals are analyzed to identify malfunctioning nozzles. The fluid dispenser dispenses a second line of ejected droplets of formable material onto a second location on the substrate that compensates for the one or more malfunctioning nozzles.
Microspotting device
Devices and methods are provided for spotting an array with fluid. Arrays produced by such methods are also provided. In one aspect of the invention, a spotter device for spotting a plurality of fluids into an array is described, the spotter device comprising a plurality of reservoirs provided in a first configuration, each reservoir holding its respective fluid, a print head having a plurality of positions provided in a second configuration, the second configuration being different from the first configuration, a plurality of tubes, each tube configured to provide fluid communication from a reservoir at a first end of the tube to a position in the print head at the second end of the tube, and a pump for pumping fluid through the tubes from the reservoir to the print head.

Functionalized surfaces and preparation thereof
Compositions, devices, methods and systems are provided for differential functionalization of a surface of a structure to support biopolymer synthesis. Provided herein are processes which include use of lamps, lasers, and/or microcontact printing to add functional groups to surfaces for the efficient and uniform synthesis of oligonucleic acids.
APPARATUSES FOR REACTION SCREENING AND OPTIMIZATION, AND METHODS THEREOF
Embodiments in accordance with the present disclosure are directed to apparatuses used for reaction screening and optimization purposes. An example apparatus includes a plurality of reaction vessels, a dispensing subsystem, at least one reactor module, an analysis subsystem, an automation subsystem, and control circuitry. The dispensing subsystem delivers reagents to the plurality of reaction vessels for a plurality of reaction mixtures having varied reaction conditions. The at least one reactor module drives a plurality of reactions within the plurality of reaction vessels. The analysis subsystem analyzes compositions contained in the plurality of reaction vessels. The automation subsystem selectively moves the plurality of reaction vessels from a location proximal to the dispensing subsystem to the at least one reactor module based on experimental design parameters. And, the control circuitry identifies optimum reaction conditions for a target end product based on the analysis.
