System and method for affecting motion of an amusement ride vehicle
A system for affecting motion of an amusement ride vehicle is disclosed. The system includes a channel and a plurality of fluid spray sources positioned to spray at least a primary fluid over the channel. For at least one of the fluid spray sources, the system is adapted to inject a secondary fluid into the primary fluid to modify at least one of a pressure and a velocity of the primary fluid. A corresponding method is also disclosed.
Ride Attraction and Method for Creating Impression of Rider Instability
Ride features described herein may include a ride surface in which a rider may be maintained on a lateral side wall while traversing the ride feature. The ride feature may be in a spiral to turn the rider about a central axis. The ride feature may include a central opening that provides a perception that the rider may fall off of the ride feature. The properties of the lateral side wall may be manipulated so that the centripetal force is used to control the rider's speed and position on the lateral sidewall so that the rider is kept away from the inside edge of the central opening. The centripetal force can be changed by: varying the pitch of the helix of the lateral side wall, varying the radius of the helix of the lateral side wall, varying the friction between the ride surface and the rider, and combinations thereof.

METHOD FOR PROVIDING A VIRTUAL REALITY EXPERIENCE FOR AT LEAST ONE PASSENGER OF AN AMUSEMENT RIDE, AND AMUSEMENT RIDE
A method provides a virtual reality experience for at least one passenger of an amusement ride, in particular a water ride, with at least two spaced-apart and stationary UWB antennas. The at least one passenger is able to move in the ride and is provided with VR goggles and a UWB tag. The VR goggles can present the virtual reality experience in the field of vision of the at least one passenger. The method includes the steps: establishing a wireless connection and transmitting at least one signal between the at least two stationary UWB antennas and the UWB tag; calculating the position of the UWB tag based on the at least one received signal; generating a virtual reality according to the calculated position; reproducing the virtual reality experience through the VR goggles according to the calculated position and the viewing direction of the VR goggles.
Modular Experiential Water Tunnel and Method Thereof
A modular experiential water tunnel comprises a plurality of arches and experiential modules adapted to be configured and installed onto any conventional water ride. The modular tunnel may further comprise a controller in communication with a server, the controller being adapted to adjust the experience provided by the modular tunnel.
AMUSEMENT RIDE
Provided is an amusement ride. The amusement ride includes a vehicle for one or more passengers and a lifting device to move the vehicle between a lower position and a raised position. The lifting device includes a nested tube arrangement having a plurality of nested tubes, a fluid reservoir for housing an operating fluid fluidically connected to the nested tubes, and a pressurizing device to pressurize the operating fluid for supplying pressurized operating fluid within the nested tubes to extend the nested tube arrangement in order to lift the vehicle from the lower position to a raised position.
AMUSEMENT RIDE
Provided is an amusement ride. The amusement ride includes a vehicle for one or more passengers and a lifting device to move the vehicle between a lower position and a raised position. The lifting device includes a nested tube arrangement having a plurality of nested tubes, a fluid reservoir for housing an operating fluid fluidically connected to the nested tubes, and a pressurizing device to pressurize the operating fluid for supplying pressurized operating fluid within the nested tubes to extend the nested tube arrangement in order to lift the vehicle from the lower position to a raised position.
CONVERTIBLE INFLATABLE DEVICE
A convertible inflatable device includes a first inflatable bed, a second inflatable bed, a front chamber, a left chamber, a right chamber, and a rear chamber. The first inflatable bed is surrounded by the front chamber, the left chamber, the right chamber, and the rear chamber. The front chamber, the left chamber, the rear chamber, and the right chamber are connected to each other sequentially. A first end of the second inflatable bed is connected to the junction of the first inflatable bed and the rear chamber. The convertible inflatable device can be converted to an inflatable bed, an inflatable boat, an inflatable water slide or an inflatable recliner chair, and the conversion between any of them is mutual and convenient.
