FOOD PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR OPERATING FOOD PROCESSING APPARATUS

A method for operating a food processing apparatus is provided. The food processing apparatus includes a reaction vessel that has a space that accumulates a liquid reactant used for a food product; a catalytic reactor that includes a reaction tube and a light source; and an introducing tube for introducing the reactant into the reaction vessel. The reaction tube has an outer surface where a photocatalyst is provided. The reaction tube transmits light. The light source generates heat at a time of light emission in which the light source emits light from an inner side of the reaction tube. The method for operating the food processing apparatus includes introducing the reactant into the reaction vessel from the introducing tube. In the introducing, the reactant is introduced up to a position at which a liquid surface of the reactant is positioned higher than an opening portion of the introducing tube.

A device and a process to propagate molecular growth of hydrocarbons, either straight or branched chain structures, that naturally occur in the gas phase of a first gas to gas phase molecules of a second gas having higher molecular chain lengths than the hydrocarbons of the first gas. According to one embodiment, the device includes a grounded reactor vessel having a gas inlet, a product outlet, and an electrode within the vessel; a power supply coupled to the electrode for creating an electrostatic field within the vessel for converting the first gas to a second gas.

Apparatus and method for plasma synthesis of graphitic products including graphene

Apparatus and method are disclosed for plasma synthesis of graphitic products including graphene. A plasma nozzle is coupled to a reaction chamber. A process gas is supplied to the plasma nozzle, the process gas comprising a carbon-containing species. Radio frequency radiation is supplied to the process gas within the plasma nozzle, so as to produce a plasma within the nozzle in use, and thereby cause cracking of the carbon-containing species. The plasma nozzle is arranged such that an afterglow of the plasma extends into the reaction chamber. The cracked carbon-containing species also passes into the reaction chamber, and the cracked carbon-containing species recombines within the afterglow, so as to form the graphitic products including graphene.
