OBJECT MOVEMENT CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHOD
Described herein is an apparatus and method to convey an object through the air in a controlled and repeatable manner. The apparatus may comprise an object attached to at least one resilient member, the resilient member or members constraining object movement in a substantially vertical y-axis direction. The apparatus may also comprise at least one support member coupled to the at least one resilient member, and the support member or members constrain object movement in a substantially horizontal x-axis direction. In use, the resilient member is energised, movement initiated, and object movement then occurs in both an x-axis and y-axis direction, the movement path substantially governed by the resilient member(s) and the support member(s). The apparatus and method may allow the object to experience a variety of movement sensations, one being the feeling of flight or gliding.
Accident preventing system for sports
An accident preventing system for sports, for preventing an accident to a user who uses a sport facility involving movement from a first zone including a starting spot to a second zone including an arrival spot, includes a safety equipment that a user wears to use the sport facility, an entry sensing unit installed in the first zone and determining that the user enters the starting spot, a binding sensing unit installed in the first zone and determining whether the safety equipment is bound, and a controller determining whether to operate the sport facility upon receiving signals checked by the entry sensing unit and the binding sensing unit.
AMUSEMENT RIDE TO MOVE VEHICLES AT LEAST VERTICALLY
An amusement moves vehicles at least vertically and comprises a vertical column; at least one vehicle to accommodate at least one passenger, movable at least along the vertical direction between maximum and minimum heights; a movement system for each vehicle configured to move the vehicle vertically; a control and command unit (CU) connected to the movement system; and, a pneumatic assembly comprising a cylinder and a piston which define a first chamber. The piston is connected to the vehicle to move between a maximum contraction position in which the vehicle is at the maximum height, and a maximum exposure position in which the vehicle is at the minimum height. The movement system comprises a first valve connected to the first chamber, whose opening and closing can be commanded by the control and command unit (CU) to control at least one movement of the vehicle.
Human flying apparatus
The lever, wheel and axle, pulley, wedge, screw, and inclined plane are the six Simple Machines of the Classical era. Over 2000 years ago a man from Syracuse used them to create a way to move water against the pull of gravity. The Archimedes' screw is still a standard for simple efficiency. In homage to those early machines and the dreamers who built them, the Human Flying Apparatus provides a carriage, wheels and an axle, a harness, and a braking and steering system and, in specific embodiments, thrusters, all suspended from a single rail, which allows a human being to soar in simulated flight that is safe, sustained, and suitable for all skill levels. For once you have tasted flight, you will walk the Earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you long to return. Leonardo Da Vinci
