METHOD FOR PROVIDING A VIRTUAL REALITY EXPERIENCE FOR AT LEAST ONE PASSENGER OF AN AMUSEMENT RIDE, AND AMUSEMENT RIDE
20230072692 · 2023-03-09 ·

A method provides a virtual reality experience for at least one passenger of an amusement ride, in particular a water ride, with at least two spaced-apart and stationary UWB antennas. The at least one passenger is able to move in the ride and is provided with VR goggles and a UWB tag. The VR goggles can present the virtual reality experience in the field of vision of the at least one passenger. The method includes the steps: establishing a wireless connection and transmitting at least one signal between the at least two stationary UWB antennas and the UWB tag; calculating the position of the UWB tag based on the at least one received signal; generating a virtual reality according to the calculated position; reproducing the virtual reality experience through the VR goggles according to the calculated position and the viewing direction of the VR goggles.

WAVE GENERATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FREE-FORM BODIES OF WATER
20230132461 · 2023-05-04 ·

A wave park for an open or large body of water is disclosed. The wave park includes a body of water, and a track positioned in or proximate the body of water. The wave park further includes at least one foil coupled to move along the track, the at least one foil being at least partially submerged in the body of water. The at least one foil has a curvilinear cross-sectional geometry that includes a leading surface that is concave about a vertical axis to provide drag to generate a primary wave laterally in water of the body of water that contacts the leading surface of the foil, and a trailing surface that narrows from a maximum width of the foil adjacent the leading surface to a point at an end of the foil, the trailing surface to decrease the drag of the foil and to minimize oscillatory waves that trail the primary wave from the water moving past the leading surface of the foil.

GAP BLOCKING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AMUSEMENT PARK ATTRACTIONS

A gap blocking system includes a loading platform having a gap separating a first portion of the loading platform from a second portion of the loading platform. A ride vehicle is coupled to a transport extending through the gap. The gap blocking system also includes a panel assembly coupled to the loading platform and comprising a plurality of panels, wherein each panel of the plurality of panels is coupled to a respective biasing mechanism coupled to the first portion of the loading platform and configured to bias each panel towards a closed configuration in which each panel extends radially away from the first portion of the loading platform.

Described herein is a portable outdoor water and snow activity station used as a game or a toy. The activity station is a mesh screen panel PVC structure with supports that has a detachable water hose, which connects to a standard water spigot; the detachable hose has on/off nozzles for filling water balloons and other water toys and may be removed during non-use. The activity station has multiple slingshot launchers that may be used for launching both water balloons and snowballs. The activity station's adjoined mesh screen panels shield players as they propel objects with the slingshot launchers. The activity station contains rear storage pouches to hold water balloons and snowballs while in use. The activity station's foldable design allows for easy set up, take down, portability, and storage. The object of the game is for players at opposing stations to launch water balloons and snowballs at each other.

AMUSEMENT RIDE

Provided is an amusement ride. The amusement ride includes a vehicle for one or more passengers and a lifting device to move the vehicle between a lower position and a raised position. The lifting device includes a nested tube arrangement having a plurality of nested tubes, a fluid reservoir for housing an operating fluid fluidically connected to the nested tubes, and a pressurizing device to pressurize the operating fluid for supplying pressurized operating fluid within the nested tubes to extend the nested tube arrangement in order to lift the vehicle from the lower position to a raised position.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF GENERATING WAVE

A wave-forming system includes a channel having a water inlet and a water outlet for directing water from the water inlet and the water outlet. The channel has a side wall and a bottom surface profile that slopes downward toward the water outlet and the side wall. The system also includes a back pressure barrier positioned in the water outlet to introduce a back pressure to the water flow inside the channel to continuously form waves across the channel.

Play Center Using Structural Monoliths For Water Delivery Capabilities
20220370925 · 2022-11-24 ·

A play structure having one or more monolith structures for the connection of other surfaces (e.g., deckings, water-based elements, interactive elements, etc.). Each of the monolith structures may be adjustably connected with a ground surface such that a variety of possible angles may be obtained by the monolith whit respect to the ground surface. After the desired orientation of the monolith is obtained to the ground surface via the adjustable connection, the monolith may be secured in such position. Water or fluid may be provided to the monolith structures via piping that interfaces with the monolith structures by a fluid connection that is in communication with piping disposed within the monolith structures. A fluid damping or delivery system (e.g., based upon a tipping element that provides water to a fluid flowing surface and/or other water diversion element) may be provided as part of be play structure.
