The present invention relates to an amusement ride (1) comprising at least one vehicle (2) which can move along a specified track (10), wherein the at least one vehicle (2) comprises at least one sensor (30), wherein the at least one sensor (30) is electrically independent of the vehicle (2), wherein the at least one sensor (30) comprises an RFID transponder (35), and wherein at least one RFID receiver (20) is arranged along the specified track (10), which is set up to communicate with the RFID transponder (35) and to read out the at least one measured value from the at least one sensor (30).

A publicly accessible urban beach entertainment complex is disclosed, with a man-made tropical, pristine-clear lagoon as the centerpiece of the complex, with surrounding entertainment, educational, sports, and commercial facilities, the complex having controlled public access and providing the look and feel of a tropical beach with clear waters and sandy beaches. In addition a method for efficiently utilizing facilities and land that are vacant, underutilized, have limited uses, or that are contiguous to or nearby recreational, educational, sports, or commercial venues is disclosed. A kinesthetic waterpark is provided wherein a child or children move at least one lever to prime a pump system which moves water from a water tank to tubing running along the frame of a canopy. The waterpark may be combined with a wagon or may be used as a standalone recreational waterpark. An illustrative dual basin pool may have an intermediate basin on one side and a beginner basin on the other. The intermediate basin may have an easy takeoff reef section with a reef angle between 65 and 85 degrees. Reefs may be constructed and reconfigured using a modular reef structure that avoids the months of downtime associated with rebuilding fixed reefs.

A system may include a virtual reality system configured to present one or more virtual objects via an electronic display. The system may also include one or more inflatable objects that correspond to the one or more virtual objects, such that the one or more inflatable objects matches one or more shapes of the one or more virtual objects. A ride system includes a ride vehicle made of a buoyant material configured to float in a liquid. A bogie of the ride system includes a vehicle support positioned under the ride vehicle, and the bogie is configured to travel along a track. An extender is coupled to the vehicle support and coupled to the ride vehicle. The extender is configured to transition between a retracted configuration and an extended configuration to allow the ride vehicle to float in the liquid within a range of motion relative to the vehicle support.
