By means of an amusement-ride-specific computer program, a virtual reality corresponding to a journey of the vehicle is generated and is represented on a head-mounted display associated with the passenger of a vehicle in accordance with the position of the vehicle on the route, and in accordance with the position and/or the orientation of the head-mounted display. The amusement-ride-specific computer program is executed on a mobile terminal of the passenger which comprises a communication interface. Alternatively, the amusement-ride-specific computer program is executed on an apparatus which is firmly connected to the vehicle and is designed to connect with the head-mounted display of the passenger. Further, an amusement ride, in particular to a roller coaster, carries out the method above.

The wall defines at least one opening configured to provide fluid communication between the master chamber and the slave chamber. The brake cylinder also includes a master piston configured to pressurize fluid in the master chamber when a brake pedal is pressed. The brake cylinder further includes a slave piston and a pressure sensor disposed in fluid communication with the slave chamber. The pressure sensor is configured to measure pressure in the slave chamber and send a signal to a processor indicating of movement of the brake pedal. When pressurizing fluid in the master chamber, the master piston is configured to drive fluid from the master chamber to the slave chamber via the at least one opening to increase pressure in the slave chamber.

An immersion platform includes a dome configured to display a predetermined scene. The dome includes an outer perimeter. A plurality of sensory accessories are configured to stimulate at least one sense of a user. The sensory accessories include at least one of an air blower module, a lighting module, an audio module, a scent module, a haptic vibration module, a temperature module, a floor module, and brain stimulation features. A controller is configured to display the predetermined scene on the dome and to activate the plurality of accessories according to a predetermined timeline.

An immersion platform includes a dome configured to display a predetermined scene. The dome includes an outer perimeter. A plurality of sensory accessories are configured to stimulate at least one sense of a user. The sensory accessories include at least one of an air blower module, a lighting module, an audio module, a scent module, a haptic vibration module, a temperature module, a floor module, and brain stimulation features. A controller is configured to display the predetermined scene on the dome and to activate the plurality of accessories according to a predetermined timeline.

A movable screen apparatus suitable for use in a themed entertainment environment. The movable screen apparatus includes a screen and a base configured for movement over surface. The movable screen apparatus includes a guidance arrangement and a drive arrangement, wherein said guidance and drive arrangements are operable, in use, to move the screen apparatus along a pre-defined looped path. The looped path is defined by a physical track which is contactable by the guidance arrangement.

A content processing system for an amusement park attraction includes a processor configured to receive a data stream including one or more control instructions for output of amusement content. The processor is also configured to identify one or more operational characteristics of an accessory. The processor is also configured to, based on the one or more operational characteristics, effectuate modification of the data stream to generate a modified data stream including one or more updated control instructions for output of adjusted amusement content to be presented to a user via the accessory. The processor is also configured to transmit the modified data stream to the accessory.

A content processing system for an amusement park attraction includes a processor configured to receive a data stream including one or more control instructions for output of amusement content. The processor is also configured to identify one or more operational characteristics of an accessory. The processor is also configured to, based on the one or more operational characteristics, effectuate modification of the data stream to generate a modified data stream including one or more updated control instructions for output of adjusted amusement content to be presented to a user via the accessory. The processor is also configured to transmit the modified data stream to the accessory.

A method for operating a ride attraction includes moving a ride vehicle along a pathway, with at least one rider in or on the ride vehicle, and with the at least one rider wearing a headset having a display and a window. Virtual images are created on the display based at least in part on a position of the ride vehicle along the pathway, with the at least one rider viewing the virtual images, and with the at least one rider also simultaneously viewing real world images of real world objects through the window. The virtual images may be overlaid onto the real-world images.
