Spinning top and spinning top play device using same
The present invention provides a spinning top employing a gyroscope to enhance the amusement at spinning top play, and a spinning top play device using the same such that, since a rotor of the spinning top is not exposed to the outside, an angular momentum of the rotor can be advantageously maintained for a long period of time even when collision occurs.

Information logger
An information logger records rotation information on a spinning top and outputs the recorded information. A detachment detector detects that the spinning top is attached to the launcher. A rotation-rate detecting unit detects a rotation rate of the spinning top while a rotational force is applied to the spinning top. Rotation information of the spinning top derived from a result detected by a rotation-rate detecting unit is stored in a storage unit. The rotation information stored in the storage unit is sent to an information processor by a communication unit as required.

Top
The present invention relates to a top generating a clear collision sound when the top collides with another top so as to make playing with a top more exciting, and having an improved fastening structure for a metal wheel on the top so as to allow the metal wheel to sufficiently vibrate when the top collides.
Toy top
A toy top includes a body and a shaft part. A rotating shaft of the shaft part includes plastic or metal shaft tip segments disposed at predetermined intervals in a circumferential direction of the rotating shaft. The shaft tip segment constitutes part of an outer periphery of the rotating shaft. The part of the outer periphery is configured to come into contact with the ground. Rubber is provided at the outer periphery of the rotating shaft so as to protrude outward beyond outer surfaces of the shaft tip segments. The rubber has higher frictional force than the shaft tip segments. The rubber is disposed between adjacent shaft tip segments in the circumferential direction.

Rotating top launcher
A top launcher includes at least one track segment having a guiding path for translating a rotatable top thereon. Also included is a launching member moveable between a first position and a second position, the launching member resiliently biased toward the first position. Further included is an engagement portion of the launching member for engaging the rotatable top and launching the rotatable top as the launching member moves toward the first position.

Toy top
A toy top includes: a body and a shaft part respectively having first and second portions facing each other in an up-down direction in a combined state; and a sliding contact surface which is on the first portion and abuts a projection on the second portion by biasing force of a biasing member. The projection continuously slides from a first position corresponding to a most deeply combined state to a second position corresponding to an uncombined state. The sliding contact surface is an inclined plane which, in the combined state: as a whole, inclines with respect to a plane at right angles to a shaft line of the shaft part; has a level in the up-down direction being continuously lower from the first position toward the second position; and can keep abutting the projection at an arbitrary point.
