REARRANGEABLE MAGNETIC SPINNING TOY
20180345156 · 2018-12-06 ·

The invention presented in this application is a novel, highly customizable, magnetic spinning device. The main components of the invention are a magnetic hub, numerous magnets, a bearing or similar rotation point, and a finger hold. These components may or may not be permanently attached to one another and may or may not be separate bodies. The main aspect of this invention is the magnetic hub. It is titled such not because it itself is necessarily magnetic, but because it provides positioning and support for the magnetic pieces allowing for customization.

TOY SPINNING TOPS AND LAUNCHING DEVICES

A toy spinning top includes a main body having an upper portion and a lower portion and a vertical axis. A spinning tip extends from a lower portion of the main body. The upper portion has a two-dimensional shape having at least one corner point and the lower portion has the two-dimensional shape rotationally shifted about the vertical axis to form a helical groove. The groove is engaged with a die having a corresponding helical groove. Force applied to the main body along the vertical axis forces the main body through the die and imparts rotation to launch the main body spinning from the die.

MODULAR TOY

The invention relates to a modular toy including a toy figurine and a cart body. The cart body has a hub portion with an upper side, a lower side, and a side surface. Further, the toy figurine is releasably attachable to the upper side of the hub portion such that the toy figurine is non-rotationally attached to the cart body. Three or more sphere connectors extend radially from the side surface of the hub portion. Each sphere connector is configured for releasably attaching a spherical body such that when a spherical body is attached to the sphere connector, the spherical body is rotatable relative to the sphere connector. The sphere connectors are arranged such that the center of the spherical bodies attached to the sphere connectors are in the same plane parallel to the lower surface of the hub portion.

Transformable toy

A transformable toy kit for use on a support surface is provided. The transformable toy kit includes a transformable toy which has a movable housing element that moves between retracted and expanded positions when a catch and a latch of the transformable toy are secured and released by an actuator of the transformable toy, respectively. The transformable toy further includes a shaft assembly including a shaft rotatably mounted within the housing, and a flywheel mounted to the shaft, which includes a gear. The kit includes a ripcord member that is insertable into an access aperture in the housing to engage with the gear. The ripcord member is pullable once inserted into the access aperture so as to drive rotation of the flywheel, thereby driving spinning of the transformable toy.

A magnetic spin toy with a first member having an axis and a second member configured to releasably attach to and spin about the first member and its axis. The releasable attachment and spin are brought about by a first magnetic material part in the first member adjacent a second magnetic material part in the second member. The parts may comprise a theme, such as, for example, board sportsthe first member a mini ski boot and the second member a mini ski. Different numbers, types, and orientations of magnetic material parts may be used in each of the first and second members to achieve different spin and/or releasable attachment characteristics or other functionality.
