FORMATE PRODUCTION METHOD, FORMIC ACID PRODUCTION METHOD, AND ANTIFREEZING AGENT PRODUCTION METHOD
The invention relates to a method for producing a formate, the method including a first step of reacting hydrogen with carbon dioxide, a hydrogen carbonate or a carbonate using a catalyst in the presence of a solvent to form a formate in the reaction liquid, wherein the reaction is a two-phase system in which an organic phase and an aqueous phase are present in a separated state in the solvent, and a base concentration in the reaction is 2.5 mol/L or more.
ORGANOMETALLIC COMPLEXES OF SEQUENTIAL TETRADENTATE MONOANIONIC LIGANDS AND USES THEREOF IN RING OPENING POLYMERIZATION OF CYCLIC ESTERS
A new family of mononuclear organometallic complexes of a divalent metal bound to sequential tetradentate monoanionic {ONNN}-type ligands, and polymerization of cyclic esters such as lactides utilizing same are provided. Novel tetradentate monoanionic {ONNN}-type ligands usable for forming these complexes are also provided.
PORPHYRIN-BASED CATALYSTS FOR WATER SPLITTING
The porphyrin-based catalysts for water splitting are composites of porphyrin or metalloporphyrin active ingredients, conductive carbon (e.g., graphene sheets, vapor grown carbon fiber, carbon black, etc.), and a polymer or binder that may be coated on a glassy carbon electrode. The polymer or binder may be Nafion oil or polyvinylidine difluoride. The porphyrin may be a porphyrin having a transition metal or hydrogen at its center, and may be halogenated and/or have a thiophene substituent.
Dinuclear copper catalyst for the oxidation/oxygenation of hydrocarbons
The subject invention provides synthetic compounds, and compound complexes having catalytic activities towards oxidation or oxygenation, and/or dehydrogenation of various substrates comprising C−H bonds. The catalysts of the subject invention comprise a dinuclear Cu(I)/Cu(II) center that can convert between a resting state and a reactive species. The subject invention also provides methods of using such catalysts for the oxidation of substrates comprising C−H bonds, e.g., hydrocarbons, to synthesize chemicals for use as pharmaceuticals and industrial feedstock.
PROCESS FOR PREPARING 3-(CYCLOHEX-1-EN-1-YL)PROPANAL DERIVATIVES
The present invention relates to the field of perfumery. More particularly, it concerns valuable new chemical intermediates for producing perfuming ingredients. Moreover, the present invention comprises also a process for producing compound of formula (I).
