METHOD FOR EXTRACTING DNA
The invention relates to a method for extracting DNA, comprising the steps of: providing (400) a lysate (11) in a sample vessel (1), feeding (500) an DNA absorbing substance (15) to the sample vessel (1), closing (700) the sample vessel (1) by means of a wash filter element (3), feeding (600) a wash fluid (12) to the sample vessel (1) through the wash filter element (3), and discharging (700) the wash fluid (12) from the sample vessel (1) through the wash filter element (3). The DNA absorbing substance can be retained from the wash filter element (3).
Dispensing Cylinder, and Dispensing Device and Dispensing Treatment Method Using Same
A compact, easily handled, and highly accurate dispensing cylinder capable of performing a dispensing treatment for both minute and large amounts of liquid using a single mechanism, and a dispensing treatment method using the dispensing cylinder. The dispensing cylinder includes: a cylinder having a cavity therein; a nozzle provided at one end of the cylinder, having a through hole communicating with the cavity and extending in an axial direction of the cavity, and making a dispensing tip attachable to an outside thereof; and a plunger provided so as to be slidable in the cavity in the axial direction. The cavity has a large diameter region having a first inner peripheral surface and a small diameter region provided so as to be closer to a nozzle than the large diameter region and having a second inner peripheral surface. The plunger has a thick shaft portion slidable in the large diameter region and a thin shaft portion protruding from a distal end of the thick shaft portion in the axial direction and slidable in the small diameter region.
Syringe filter
The present invention provides a syringe for filtering a liquid comprising: a housing with a plunger slidable therein; an inlet for taking in liquid from a liquid source into the housing; an outlet for expelling liquid from the inside of the housing; a filter; and a rotatable valve member being rotatable between a first position and a second position; wherein rotation of the valve member to the first position permits liquid that is drawn through the inlet into the housing by pulling the plunger to bypass the filter, and rotation of the valve member to the second position forces liquid that is expelled from the inside of the housing by pushing the plunger to pass through the filter and out of the outlet.
Reagent preparation and dispensing device
A reagent preparation and dispensing device includes a body having a reaction chamber for a reagent and a solution reservoir for a solution. The solution reservoir is isolated from the reaction chamber. A plunger is movably coupled with the body. Movement of the plunger from a starting position to a seated position pushes the solution into the reaction chamber. A dispensing path extends from the reaction chamber out of the body. The dispensing path is configured to dispense a reagent mixture formed from the solution and the reagent. A vent path extends from the reaction chamber, the vent path vents reaction chamber gas displaced by the addition of the solution to the reaction chamber throughout movement of the plunger from the starting position to the seated position.
Cylinder-and-piston assembly for a bottle attachment apparatus
A cylinder-and-piston assembly for a bottle attachment apparatus for handling liquids provides a cylinder attachable to a valve block assembly, a piston, displaceable in a sealed manner in the longitudinal direction within the cylinder, and a cylinder housing connected to the piston and externally encompassing the cylinder. The piston is displaceable in the cylinder and the stroke length of the piston in the cylinder is delimited by a fixed stop, which interacts with a stroke length stop on the cylinder housing. The cylinder housing has a longitudinal slot running in the longitudinal direction and on the external side thereof has a scale assigned to this longitudinal slot. The stroke length stop on the cylinder housing is adjustable in the longitudinal direction and is interlockable in the respective position.
Bottle dispenser having a digital volume display
The invention relates to a dosing device for dispensing and/or receiving a dosed amount of a liquid, comprising a piston device being disposed in a housing and a device for determining the stroke of the piston and/or the position of the piston, wherein the device for determining the stroke of the piston and/or the position of the piston features at least one scalar element and at least one measuring device, wherein the scalar element is fixedly disposed at the housing of the piston device and the measuring device is directly or indirectly connected to the piston and can be moved together with the piston, or wherein the scalar element is disposed at the piston so as to be movable with the piston and the measuring device is fixedly disposed at the housing, and wherein the scalar element is designed as an absolutely coded scale.
A DIGITAL BURETTE
A digital burette comprising a housing configured to be mounted on a liquid reservoir, a tube extending from the housing, an input unit provided on the housing, and an actuating device/unit/component/machine/structure configured to communicate with the control unit. The tube fluidly communicates with the liquid reservoir. The input unit receives an input corresponding with a desired volume of the liquid to be dispensed, and generates an input signal. The control unit receives the input signal and generates a processed signal. The actuating device/unit/component/machine/structure is communicatively coupled to the input unit or the control unit to facilitate dispensation of the desired volume of the liquid through the tube based on the received input signal/processed signal.
Multi-channel parallel pretreatment device
A multi-channel parallel pretreatment device includes a magnetic separation and transfer device and a first drive device. The magnetic separation and transfer device includes a second mounting bracket provided therein with an injector chamber. A mounting plate is provided above the top of the injector chamber and is provided with multiple piston rods that are connected to the injector chamber in a movable and sealing manner. The second mounting bracket is further provided thereon with a second drive device. The injector chamber is provided with loading heads that have a hollow structure. The piston rods have free ends that are provided with magnetic rods. The second drive device can drive the magnetic rods on the piston rods to pass through the loading heads. The first drive device and the second drive device realize the reciprocation of the loading heads.
