This component carrier (5) can be pushed into its use position in the housing (4) through the insertion opening (10) present in the housing (4). A multi-channel pipetting assembly includes a linkage member and a plurality of pipetting structures arranged in parallel. Each pipetting structure includes a pipette body, a piston rod, a piston tube, and an elastic element. The pipette body has a plurality of air chambers with different inner diameters, and the air chambers are arranged axially and communicate with each other. The piston rod is fixed to the linkage member. The piston tube is sleeved on the piston rod. The piston rod and the piston tube are located in the pipette body, and are axially and reciprocatingly movable in the pipette body. The piston rod matches the air chamber with the smallest inner diameter, and the piston tube matches the remaining air chambers. The elastic element is telescopically sleeved on the piston rod and corresponds to the piston tube. Therefore, a plurality of volume ranges meeting the accuracy requirements can be provided.

A liquid transfer device includes a transfer unit, a reaction chamber, and a collecting unit. The collecting unit receives a sample solution. The transfer unit includes a piston assembly, a pipette, and a reagent adding unit, a portion of the piston assembly is received in the pipette. The piston assembly moves back and forth along the pipette and the reagent adding unit can receive a reagent. In a first state, the transfer unit is disposed above the collecting unit. In moving away from the collecting unit, the piston deforms the pipe to intake a sample. In a second state, the piston assembly can move closer to the reaction chamber to deform the pipe and release the reacted sample.

A pipetting device for taking up and dispensing volumes of fluid, which has an ejector mechanism which is actuable by means of an actuating means to eject or release a pipette tip plugged onto the pipetting device. The pipetting device has a coupling mechanism which is configured such that, in the unactuated state, actuating means and ejector mechanism are decoupled, and, when the actuating means is actuated, the latter is coupled to the ejector mechanism, causing a force exerted on the actuating means to transfer to the ejector mechanism. A fluid sample extraction device is disclosed comprising a housing defining an internal fluid passage having a distal open end and a proximal open end and a porous medium within the fluid passage, between the distal open end and proximal open end. The porous medium, which may be glass, is configured to allow fluid flow in the fluid passage to flow around the porous medium, toward the proximal open end of the housing, when fluid is drawn from the distal open end toward the proximal open end, and to allow fluid in the fluid passage to flow toward the distal open end of the housing, through the porous medium when the fluid is forced toward the distal open end. The porous medium is also configured to capture nucleic acids in the porous medium from the fluid when fluid is forced through the porous medium. Devices and kits are also disclosed.
