A medical testing apparatus for a user to help to authenticate and track the process of a test kit that is received into the medical test apparatus, the test kit includes components of an extended nasal/oral swab, a buffer tube, a reagent disposed within the buffer tube, a nozzle cap, and a test card, the kit is for testing for a presence or a non-presence of an infection that utilizes an internet connected electronic device with a camera for communication to third parties. The apparatus includes a test stand that is configured to partially receive the electronic device and to partially receive the test kit in a positional alignment to for the camera to record an unique identification code for each test kit component, and for the camera user facial recognition, further the test stand camera records infection status.

Device for whole blood separation

Separation of the cellular components of whole blood, or other biological fluid, from plasma or serum can be achieved for assay analysis. A device for facilitating separation can include, for example, a capillary tube that accurately draws target blood volume, a pad that chemically interacts with red-blood cells, such that the red blood cells become chemically and/or physically trapped within pad material, a mechanism for plasma recovery from the pad upon diffusion or active mixing, and a dropper tip that facilitates dispensing the mixture onto a test device. The treatment of the cellular components can be performed prior to contact with a buffer solution, so release of the cellular components into the buffer solution is reduced or prevented. Additional filtration can be provided to filter any remaining cellular components in the mixture.

False bottom specimen transport tube

A biological false bottom transport tube system includes a top section manufactured from a top section material and a bottom section below an interior floor. The top section material is transparent to both visible and infrared light, the bottom section fits within the bottom of the top section. The bottom section material is not transparent to either visible or infrared light.

DOUBLE-WALLED CONTAINMENT CELL
20230146527 · 2023-05-11 ·

Double-walled containment cells are described as may be used for storage, transport, and examination of a sample held within the cell by use of optical analysis techniques. A double-walled containment cell can include multiple types of windows that can be located as desired on the containment cells and thereby provide for optical access to a sample for multiple optical analysis techniques. Disclosed containment cells can be sized and designed for use with existing optical analysis systems, e.g., laser ablation, X-ray diffraction, spectral analysis (e.g., Raman spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy, etc.), imaging analysis, etc.
