SAMPLE CONTAINER CARRIER, LABORATORY SAMPLE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND LABORATORY AUTOMATION SYSTEM
A sample container carrier, a laboratory sample distribution system comprising such a sample container carrier and a laboratory automation system comprising such a laboratory sample distribution system are presented.
NOZZLE, CARRIER, NOZZLE ASSEMBLY, AND SAMPLE PROCESSOR
The present disclosure relates to a nozzle for a sample processor, a carrier of a nozzle for a sample processor, a nozzle assembly for a sample processor, and a sample processor. The nozzle includes a body and an orifice. The body is adapted to be loaded and held in the carrier. The carrier can be slidably inserted into the sample processor in a detachable manner. The orifice is provided in the body and is configured to inject a sample from an injector body in a predetermined mode. An end surface of the body is adapted to abut against an end surface of the injector body along a sample injection direction. The nozzle assembly and the sample processor according to the present disclosure include the above-described nozzle and carrier. With the aid of the carrier, it is not necessary to install the nozzle to the injector body upstream of the nozzle, so that various adjustment operations when reinstalling the nozzle can be omitted, thereby simplifying the process of reinstalling the nozzle.
Bucket insert for use in a centrifuge
A bucket insert for use in a centrifuge is disclosed. The bucket insert comprises an insert body, the insert body comprising a plurality of elongated receptacles for receiving elongated sample vessels. The bucket insert is configured for orienting the elongated sample vessels in a tilted orientation. In the tilted orientation, at least some of the elongated sample vessels are oriented in a non-parallel fashion.
APPARATUS FOR HIGH-SPEED NUCLEIC ACID AMPLIFICATION AND METHOD FOR TEMPERATURE CONTROL OF NUCLEIC ACID AMPLIFICATION REACTION
The present invention relates to an apparatus for nucleic acid amplification and, more particularly, to an apparatus for nucleic acid amplification capable of rapid nucleic acid amplification by rapidly heating and cooling a reactant in a reaction vessel for a chemical/biochemical reaction requiring a temperature change, and a method for temperature control in nucleic acid amplification.
Mount device utilizing patterned features for rack orientation detection
An embodiment of the invention relates to systems and methods for detecting the orientation of sample carriers using two or more RFID tags. One or two dimensional matrix of equally spaced RFID reader antennas may be positioned beneath or within an area on which racks are placed. The first RFID tag defines the origin of the sample carrier and its geometry. The second and additional RFID tags define the orientations of the sample carrier relative to the matrix of the RFID reader antennas. At least two of the tag antennas on the rack align uniquely with two antennas on the reader matrix. The system energizes each reader antenna and associates the RFID tags aligned with them to the RFID reader antenna's physical position.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROCESSING FLUID CONTAINERS
A system and method for processing fluid containers, the system including a first tray holder to hold a first inlet tray and a first outlet tray, the first inlet tray including one or more reservoirs, and the first outlet tray including one or more cavities, a couplable upper member including a sealing surface, a moving mechanism to move the first tray holder in a first direction to bring at least one of the first inlet tray and the first outlet tray in contact with the sealing surface of the couplable upper member, and a floating plate at least one of between the first outlet tray and a top surface of the moving mechanism, and between the first inlet tray and the top surface of the moving mechanism, wherein the moving mechanism is configured to independently move the first inlet tray and the first outlet tray in the first direction.
VARIABLE SPACING RACK
A variable spacing PCR amp tube rack can include a plurality of rotors and a plurality of carriages engaged with the rotors so that rotation of the rotors causes translation of the carriages with respect to one another. The rack can include a blade assembly that allows an operator to separate sets of coupled PCR amp tubes from one another. The rack can be designed to accommodate 0.1 ml PCR amp tubes and adjust their spacing from 4.5 mm to 9.0 mm.
Laboratory stand with set-up feet for scales
A laboratory stand comprises a holding rod for receiving instruments or measuring devices for treating or examining media or substances or mixtures which may be contained or filled into a vessel arranged next to the holding rod in the usage position, into which vessel appropriate instruments or measuring instruments can engage from above. In order to be able to perform the metering of the substances in the vessel prior to, or during, the processing in a simple manner and/or in order to be able to quickly and reliably identify weight changes, support projections are moveably mounted and provided with, or connected or provided with an operative connection to, a weighing apparatus such that the displacement of the set-up feet, which is increased in the case of increasing weight or reduced in the case of decreasing weight, can be determined as weight change.
TEST DEVICE
A test device includes a housing and a lid. The housing encloses an internal space, has a hole supporting a container accommodating liquid, and includes a perforation/incision part. The lid covers a hole-formed part of the housing. The housing and/or the lid includes a guide that guides the housing and the lid, so that the lid can migrate from the first position to the second position while covering the hole-formed part of the housing. In the first position, the lid covers the hole-formed part of the housing and the container and the container is not incised. During the migration of the lid from the first position to the second position, the container is pushed toward the perforation/incision part by the lid, and the container is incised to leak liquid into the internal space.
CAROUSEL FOR 2X3 AND 1X3 SLIDES
A slide rack carousel is provided that includes a base that is configured to support a plurality of slide rack spacers that extend upward from an upper surface of the base. Adjacent slide rack spacers define a slide rack slot of a predetermined size. The plurality of slide rack spacers may include slide rack spacers of varying sizes and therefore a plurality slide rack slot sizes can be selectively configured on the carousel in accordance with the positioning and size of the plurality of slide rack spacers that are attached to the base of the carousel. Accordingly, a desired number of 13 slide rack slots and a desired number of 23 slide rack slots can be configured on the base of the slide rack carousel.
