Fastener pull assist apparatus
A fastener pull assist apparatus arranged within a housing that is configured to assist in sealing a zipper at the back of a garment, such as a dress. The fastener pull assist apparatus includes a housing, a spooling mechanism arranged within the housing and a fastening assembly that is fixed to the spooling mechanism and releasably fixable to an object to aid in pulling the object. The spool mechanism can include a spool about which a cord is windable, a spool plate that is fixable to the spool, a retraction button that is arranged between the spool and the spool plate, a cap that is contactable with the spool plate and a plurality of springs.

Animation puppet
The animation puppet includes a body core, a head configured for friction-fit engagement with the body core and forming a head joint therebetween, a pair of upper limbs configured for friction-fit engagement with the body core and forming a respective pair of upper limb joints therebetween, and a pair of legs configured for friction-fit engagement with the body core and forming a respective pair of leg joints therebetween. Each of the joints include a pair of articulable surfaces in said friction-fit engagement by way of a surface interface pre-tension having a coefficient of friction relatively greater than the weight of the animation puppet such that each joint independently supports the weight of the animation puppet while simultaneously permitting relative independent position posing of one or more of the head, the pair of arms, and/or the pair of limbs relative to the body core for stop-motion animation.
Device and Method for Instilling Intrinsic Motivation regarding Eye Contact in Children Affected by Eye Contact Disorders
This describes a treatment method for autism/ASD intended to induce greater intrinsic motivation to make eye contact in affected children. The treatment method incorporates an artificial demonstration of the phenomenon of eye contact, and that method is described herein along with the principles of action of the treatment and the necessary procedure to perform it. Also described are two embodiments of a therapy tool that can be used to effect the demonstration: first, an item in the form of a cuboid with animatronic eyes affixed to one side, and second, another in the form of a stuffed dog.

An interactive travel doll comprises a doll and a user interface configured to receive consumer input and to provide a travel plan for the doll based on the consumer input. A method of providing an interactive travel experience comprises providing a doll having a unique identification code, receiving consumer input comprising at least one of travel preferences and responses to a market driven questionnaire about travel aspirations, generating a travel plan comprising at least one trip for the doll based on the consumer input, and displaying an image of the doll during the at least one trip based on the unique identification code.
ADAPTIVE SENSORY OUTPUTS SYNCHRONIZED TO INPUT TEMPOS FOR SOOTHING EFFECTS
Sensory outputs are synchronized to input tempos for providing soothing and other effects for children and other persons. In example embodiments, juvenile products such as rockers and swings have motors that are controlled to produce an oscillatory motion with an adaptive tempo that is synchronized to rhythmic inputs such as a parent's heartbeat. In other example embodiments, juvenile products such as music players are controlled to output signals to play songs via speakers with an adaptive tempo that is synchronized to rhythmic inputs such as an infant's respiratory rate.
Travel Pillow with Tray, Charger and audio Features
A travel pillow has an integral head portion that can be positioned behind the head of the traveler during use. The travel pillow incorporates a charging station in one of the forwardly extending arms and a stress reliever in the opposing arm. A Bluetooth audio system is included to pair with selected electronic devices to enhance the entertainment of the traveler. The pillow also includes a central opening, corresponding for positioning the traveler's neck, which receives a removable snack bowl and lid, held in place within the central opening by a releasable closure device on the opposing arms of the travel pillow. The lid can be formed to receive an electronic device, such as a cell phone or a digital device generating sound received by the audio system. The head portion can be formed as an animal head with the stress reliever being the tail of the animal.
Portable lounge
A plush children's lounge is provided. The lounge includes a sidewall connected to a base. The lounge is convertible between an open configuration and a closed configuration and a fastener is provided. When the fastener is connected, the lounge defines a closed configuration having a reduced length and suitable for portability. Backpack straps are provided so that the lounge can be carried on the back. The sidewall is resilient such that the lounge springs into the open configuration when the fastener is released. When in the open configuration, a child can recline inside the lounge. Scallops in the sidewall serve as a headrest for the lounger and a plush toy head with eyes is connected to the lounge such that the child can see the plush toy while lying in the lounge. The lounge further includes arms and legs that resemble an animal or other creature.
