Dialogue method, dialogue system, dialogue apparatus and program
The present invention improves a sense of participation in a topic and enables a dialogue to continue for a long time. A dialogue system 12 includes at least an input part 1 that receives a user's utterance and a presentation part 5 that presents an utterance. In an utterance receiving step, the input part 1 receives an utterance performed by the user. In a first presentation step, the presentation part 5 presents an utterance determined based on scenarios stored in advance. In a second presentation step, the presentation part 5 presents the utterance determined based on the user's utterance contents. A dialogue control part 8 performs control to execute a dialogue at least including a first dialogue flow which is a dialogue including the utterance receiving step and the first presentation step at least one time respectively based on a predetermined scenario, and a second dialogue flow which is a dialogue including the utterance receiving step and the second presentation step at least one time respectively.
Apparatus, systems, and methods for simulating life-like human facial features/expressions
A method and apparatus according to which a patient simulator includes one or more of the following: a left eye assembly including a simulated left pupil, a simulated left eyelid, and/or a simulated left iris; a right eye assembly including a simulated right pupil, a simulated right eyelid, and/or a simulated right iris; a neck assembly including a simulated neck; a left brow assembly including a simulated left brow; a right brow assembly including a simulated right brow; a tear duct assembly including simulated left and right cheeks through which artificial pores are formed; and a mouth assembly including a simulated mouth. In various embodiments, any one, or a combination, of these assemblies may be, include, or be part of, a manikin in the form of a human face, and may therefore be activated simultaneously to realistically simulate life-like human facial features/expressions.
Comforting device
A comforting device for soothing and comforting a user includes a shell, which defines an interior space. The shell is pliable and can be grasped by the user. A filler, which is resiliently compressible, is positioned in and substantially occupies the interior space. An audio module, which is positioned in the interior space, selectively emits a first sound, which mimics a heartbeat, and a second sound, which mimics a respiratory sound, such as breath sounds and snoring. The audio module broadcasts the first sound and the second sound to comfort the user.
Robot
A robot includes a body contactable with a placement surface, a head, at least one actuator, and at least one processor. The head is contactable with the placement surface, and is coupled to a front end of the body so as to be rotatable about a first rotational axis extending in a front-rear direction of the body and rotatable about a second rotational axis extending in a width direction of the body. The at least one actuator turns the head by causing the head to make a turn about the first rotational axis and a turn about the second rotational axis independently of each other. The at least one processor repeats a first turn control scheme and a second turn control scheme in sequence.
Device and method for instilling intrinsic motivation regarding eye contact in children affected by eye contact disorders
This describes a treatment method for autism/ASD intended to induce greater intrinsic motivation to make eye contact in affected children. The treatment method incorporates an artificial demonstration of the phenomenon of eye contact, and that method is described herein along with the principles of action of the treatment and the necessary procedure to perform it. Also described are two embodiments of a therapy tool that can be used to effect the demonstration: first, an item in the form of a cuboid with animatronic eyes affixed to one side, and second, another in the form of a stuffed dog.
System and method for a digit ally-interactive plush body therapeutic apparatus
A system and method for a therapeutic apparatus that includes an external casing of a first therapeutic apparatus, wherein the external casing comprises of a plush body, the external casing comprising at least one compartment; a therapeutic module system that comprises of a set of interaction devices and a wireless communication system, wherein the therapeutic module system may be removably oriented into the at least one compartment; the set of interaction devices comprising of: sensing inputs that comprise of a auditory sensing system, a haptic sensing system, an olfaction sensing system, and other biosensing systems, and output systems that comprise of at least an auditory feedback and haptic feedback systems; and a processing system that comprises configuration to assess the state of a subject through the sensing inputs and control the output systems in response to the sensing inputs.
Interactive animatronic game/device partner and method for using same
A gaming partner can include a body having a head shaped portion and at least one display unit configured to resemble an eye of the character. At least one motor can be located in the body and configured to move a portion of the head shaped portion. A speaker and a microphone can also be associated with the gaming partner. A processor located adjacent the body can be configured to receive trigger information from a gaming/streaming device and/or a separate server. The processor can also be configured to output a signal to at least one of the display unit, the motor, the speaker, and the microphone in coordination with the trigger information such that a user receives information, such as a critique, related to the game in real time based on the signal to the at least one of the display unit, motor, speaker, and microphone.
