SPECIMEN CONTAINER FOR BIOLOGICAL MATERIALS
A specimen container that includes a first cylindrical housing section having a first threaded end, a second threaded end, and a body section formed therebetween, wherein a fill line is placed at a predetermined location on the body section; a threaded winged section that is adapted to be attached to the second threaded end of the first cylindrical housing section, wherein the threaded winged section includes two gripping wings formed on opposite sides of the threaded winged section; a second cylindrical housing section having a first threaded end, a second threaded end, and a body section formed therebetween, wherein two gripping wings are formed on opposite sides of the second cylindrical housing section and are integral therewith; a threaded connector ring that is adapted to connect the first cylindrical housing section to the second cylindrical housing section; and at least one syringe plunger adapted for insertion into the first cylindrical housing section or the second cylindrical housing section.
CARTRIDGE
[Problem] To ensure that a fluid is prevented from overflowing from a well and exposing the user to a biohazard.
[Solution] A cartridge for use in measuring a component to be measured contained in a fluid includes a recessed well, formed for storing the fluid, the well including: a lower barrel portion that defines a lower space having a closed bottom; and an upper barrel portion that is formed above the lower barrel portion and defines an upper space having an opening on the top end, wherein a step portion is formed between the lower barrel portion and the upper barrel portion, the step portion being formed on an inner wall surface of the well and defining a step that continuously connects the inner wall surface of the lower barrel portion and the inner wall surface of the upper barrel portion.
Specimen Container System
A specimen container system and methods of use are described herein for capturing, storing and accessing fluids for lab testing. A cup is removably secured to a cap assembly. The cap assembly is comprised of cover and a lid which are connected by a hinge assembly having a biasing member for maintain the lid in an open position. An aperture in the cap has two sections that in combination with the lid decreases the contamination risk compared to prior art container system.
Device and method for handling a particle suspension
A device for handling a particle suspension, in particular a cell suspension, which includes at least one channel for flowing the particle suspension, a pumping unit configured to move a driving fluid and control element for controlling the pumping unit. Also, a method for handling a particle suspension, which includes flowing the particle suspension in or out of at least one channel using a driving fluid for driving the particle suspension in the channel.
Liquid evaluation device
A liquid evaluation device including a cartridge with one or more channels formed between two closely spaced substrates is disclosed. The cartridge includes one or more liquid flow structures, each of which can be located in a deposition region for a channel, an entrance region for the channel, and/or an interior region of the channel. Each liquid flow structure is configured to facilitate liquid flow to shape and/or locate the liquid in the channel for measuring a volume of the liquid located in the channel.
READY TO USE ANALYZER CONTROL PRODUCT FOR CUA URINALYSIS INSTRUMENTS
An analyzer control product provided with a sealed rack tube containing a preconfigured volume of analyzer control fluid is described. In particular, the rack tube is provided with a base portion; a top portion; and a sidewall extending from the base portion to the top portion, the sidewall having an inner peripheral surface and an outer peripheral surface, at least one of the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface in contact with the base portion to form a control fluid void. The analyzer control fluid is within the control fluid void. The analyzer control fluid has a preconfigured volume. A sealing member is attached to the top portion to seal the control void.
Plunger for low-volume syringe pipette
One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for use with a syringe or pipette that may provide improved dispensing of fluids from the syringe or pipette. For example, typical syringes or pipettes can draw in a desired volume of fluid, and subsequently dispense the same volume. As described herein, a device can be configured to draw in a first volume and subsequently dispense the first volume and a second volume of fluid, such that portions of the fluid, such as liquids, that may be retained in the syringe or pipette can be displaces by the second volume.
Apparatus for analyte examination
A biosensor disk includes a detection substrate with an upper side surface, a reflection substrate with a lower side surface facing oppositely toward the upper side surface, and fluidic channels reaching between the opposed side surfaces. The upper side surface has binding sites, and has non-binding sites adjoining the binding sites. The detection substrate is transparent at the non-binding sites. The lower side surface has non-reflective areas, and has reflective areas adjoining the non-reflective areas. The reflective areas are located opposite the non-binding sites and have discrete polygonal configurations of equal size and shape.
Centrifuge tube holding assembly
A centrifuge tube holding assembly includes a body having a front side, a back side, a top edge, a bottom edge, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. The top edge has a plurality of apertures extending downwardly therein and each of the apertures may be used for removably receiving an ultracentrifuge tube. The front wall has an opening therein for viewing an open space positioned below the top edge. A panel is positioned over the opening. The panel is transparent to allow viewing through the panel. The panel has measurement indicia thereon configured to be positioned to be alignable with the ultracentrifuge tube.
