A lateral flow assay (LFA) device includes a sample port that holds the sample fluid before a hole is made in a wall of the sample port. The LFA device includes a cap with a sealer. The sealer fits inside the sample port after the sample port receives the sample fluid, forms a compartment for holding a predetermined volume of sample fluid between the sample port's wall and the sealer, and pushes any amount of sample fluid in excess of the predetermined volume out of the compartment after the cap is fitted inside the sample port. The LFA device includes a breaker with a tip to make a hole in the wall of the sample port causing the sample fluid held inside the compartment to be applied to the capillary pad after the start of a test.

Probes for biochemical tests

This invention relates to an apparatus for conducting immunoassay test. The apparatus includes a groove unit having a groove along a vertical direction configured to hold a rod-shaped portion of a probe along the vertical direction, and a push pin configured to move along a horizontal direction, the push pin being capable of residing at a first position and a second position. A tip of the push pin is capable of pressing the rod-shaped portion of the probe against the groove when the push pin resides at the first position. The distance between the tip of the push pin and the groove is larger than a diameter of the rod-shaped portion of the probe when the push pin resides at the second position.

A cartridge capable of a centrifugation and an automatic analysis according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: at least two or more sample wells, a centrifugation well, a measuring well, and a tip receiving well, in which a container is formed into a lower portion along a circumference of a circular plate with a predetermined interval, wherein the centrifugation well is sealed with one lid paper along with at least two or more of the sample wells, a blood injection unit is further formed inside of a radius direction for the centrifugation well, the blood injection unit has an outer blood injection hole formed to be spaced inside the centrifugation well in the radius direction, an inclined passage that communicates with the centrifugation well from the outer blood injection hole, and a cover integrally attached to the outer blood injection hole to open and close the blood injection hole.

Methods and devices for measuring the levels of analytes in body fluids

A method of testing for an analyte in an individual comprises providing colour information obtained from a digital image of a coloured reagent on an analyte test strip, the coloured reagent having been generated in accordance with analyte in a test sample, converting the colour information from the image into an analyte level, recording the analyte level in association with user-specific information (e.g. a QR code), repeating the above steps to obtain two or more records of analyte levels for the same user at different times and using the records to monitor personal health or to predict the likely development of a disease or condition or to diagnose a disease or condition or to monitor a treatment regime associated with variation in analyte levels in saliva.
